Homestar Runner's pants are somewhat of a mystery; does he wear white, skin-tight long pants? Or did he glue blue soles to the bottoms of his feet? The Brothers Chaps keep this running gag going by keeping the references ambiguous.
References to Homestar's Pants
- A Jumping Jack Contest — Homestar tells Pom Pom that he thinks he is going to pee his pants.
- Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 1.0 — Coach Z suggests that Marzipan put something in Homestar's pants to cheer him up.
- Pom Pom's character video — Homestar says that Pom Pom has helped him out of some tight jams and some tight pants, although that only happened once.
- Everybody Knows It — The ending scene, where Homestar asks The Cheat, "I guess you'll go on back to putting dog food in my shoes, huh?" appears to disprove that he has soles glued to his feet.
- New Boots — Although it is just The Cheat's interpretation of Homestar, he is nevertheless shown wearing socks and separate shoes, as opposed to soles glued to his feet.
- Not the 100th Email!!! — Strong Bad tells Homestar to "keep his pants on". Homestar replies, "Pants? Hmm..."
- Email vacation — Strong Bad parodies this issue along with the question of whether Homestar has arms when, while imagining an email that he might be missing, he says "How does Homestar pick stuff up if he's not wearing any Marzi-pants?"
- Email monument (Easter egg) — Homestar is about to put on some pants, but is then distracted by The Thnikkaman.
- Email long pants — The entire e-mail deals with Homestar and Strong Bad arguing about his pants, ending in Homestar going crazy.
- Email lady...ing (Easter egg) — Homestar tells Marzipan that he's wearing tight pants so as to "accentuate all [his] bubbleties".
- Email highschool — According to Strong Bad's doodle memory, Homestar's high-school self wore ridiculous stripèd pants. Teenaged Strong Bad and Teenaged Strong Mad "were all the time trying to liberate Homestar from [them]".
- Email senior prom (Easter egg) — With Homestar present, Strong Bad threatens to "poof away" everyone's pants in a mass pantsing, then realizes that he is the only one in the room wearing pants. Strong Bad's pants then poof away, but nothing happens to Homestar. Later, Homestar insists to Pom Pom that he was wearing "all these types of long pants" and that they got poofed away. Pom Pom says that Homestar can "keep telling [himself] that".
- Email yes, wrestling — Homestar appears to be wearing some skin tight pants.
- Homestar Ruiner — After taking Homestar's Clothes, you see them in the inventory as a shirt and some shoes with blue soles; when Strong Bad wears them, he appears to have white pants as well. Also, during the cutscene where Homestar Runner is trying to leave the locker room naked, he still has blue soles on the bottoms of his feet. In extended play mode you can wear Homestar's pants separately from the shoes and shirt.
- Costume Commercial — Homestar wears grey pants to mimic Bubs as part of his costume.
- Most in the Graveyard — Homestar repeats his line from A Jumping Jack Contest.
- A Death-Defying Decemberween — Homestar wears pants during his televised Decemberween special.
