According to Discord's age restriction policy according to their terms of service, 13 is the minimum age to access their app or website. If you have been blocked on that basis, then there's not anything I can do, sorry. — It's dot com 01:48, 13 October 2022 (UTC)

Accessing Without Making an Account

Is it possible to join a Discord server without having to sign up for an account? I'm over the minimum age limit, I just don't want to clutter up my digital life with screennames. -- 68.37.43.131 00:37, 14 April 2023 (UTC)

If you want to, you can just use your IP address as a username, like on the wiki. Or you can mash the keyboard randomly and use that jumble of letters as a username for 13 years... hypothetically. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 06:12, 14 April 2023 (UTC)

It's not the username that matters here. It's more like, "I don't want to sign away my personal data and have it remain on a server forever" that matters to me. I get that, I didn't think (when reading this) that putting an IP address as a username is a good idea or ever has been on any place (even here really). Maybe put in a generic name like "generic name" or something like that ----J∃ffJMan 13:34, 14 April 2023 (UTC)

IP addresses actually aren't as private as 68 seems to think they are, so yeah, you really really REALLY shouldn't make user names out of them. As for Discord, yeah, you absolutely do need a user name to use it; that's just how Discord works. --Jay (Talk) 15:49, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
