Agreed. Its been spammed a lot recently, and I fail to see how anyone could ever need to edit it as its information is pretty much unchanging. -- Tony Stony 22:45, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I don't think it should be protected. I don't think any page should be protected, as it's not the wiki way, but I accept that the Main Page is since it's the first thing visitors see. — It's dot com 00:41, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

There are few, if any, pages that are 100% perfect the way they are. As I understand it, the intent of a wiki is to let any well-intentioned user—regardless of whether he or she is an admin—make any changes at all that improve the site. To that end, no page, with the exception noted above and possibly some templates, should be protected. [edit] Forum Information

In the forum, there is a big italicized link that reads "First time here?" and links to this page. However, there is absolutely no mention of the forum in this page. I think that such information should be added to this page, keeping new forum users who clicked on that link in mind. --Stux 17:27, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

I agree — there should be some information about the forum on this page. I don't think this is the right place to provide technical details for posting at the forum, but we should at least have some stuff here about how the forum relates to the main project. Trey56 18:05, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
