[edit] User page

Oops—sorry, HOLYCRAP, but that's not the right way to create a user page. You just created a page in the regular H*R Wiki entitled "User:JohnDoe," which is not the same as a page in the true user space. I strongly recommend that you read the link in the welcome message above about how to do a user page, then try again! —AbdiViklas 02:05, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
P.S. And watch your language; even though you didn't spell it correctly, we try to keep the wiki at the same level of language as H*R (i.e. "Holy crap" is okay; worse stuff isn't). —AbdiViklas

[edit] trolling

Holy Crap, a word of warning. TROLLING IS BAD. YOU CAN GET BLOCKED. I assume you know this, but hey, you're new, so... yeah. Don't troll. — talk Bubsty edits 03:07, 24 November 2005 (UTC)

Seriously; instead of having your "membership deleted," why not stick around and help make this place work? It's a lot more fun.
No, don't worry about it. If you don't give two cares about Homestar Runner, that's fine. But you don't have to vandalise our knowledge base. You have been blocked indefinitely. —BazookaJoe 03:22, 24 November 2005 (UTC)
HOLYCRAP was a troll.--Stephen923
Technically he was a vandal. And trolling/vandalising can be an activity as well as an identity; the two are separate. I prefer to address the activity, but not assume that it's that person's identity (i.e. "he is a troll"). Somebody like WoW obviously is, but we have several users who started life here as vandals and then decided it wasn't worth it. HOLYCRAP's edits didn't strike me as someone with a lot of experience or determination; just somebody frustrated (probably from elsewhere) and assuming his banishment is a foregone conclusion.
