Since 2017 (mostly on social media), the phrase "getting great" has been used in inane contexts, commonly describing the vaguest of activities in the Homestar Runner universe.

- @strongbadactual Instagram post (24 Jul 2017) — After covering a Kick The Cheat doll in stickers, Strong Bad says he "can't stop letting it get so great".
- Talkin' Strong Bad Plush Doll Recording Sesh — Improvising a song about travelling, Strong Bad sings "It's gonna get great when you get on the plane".
- Kooky Moonlight — The YouTube description describes the song as a "feel-good, get-great hit".
- @StrongBadActual tweet (18 Apr 2021) — Strong Bad sings to himself, "I'm just trying to get great!"
- Halloween Hide & Seek — Homestar Runner asks Marzipan to come out of her house so he can get great.
- Trogday Micro Game — The itch.io description declares "It will all get great when a Trogdor-type game is the game that you are playing."
- @StrongBadActual tweet (25 Jul 2022) — Strong Bad once again says that he's getting great. He and Homestar declare themselves the "Get Great Crew".
