History subsection for Strong Bad Sings and Other Type Hits
Strong Bad Sings, a toon about a fictional album of music sung by Strong Bad, was released in 2000.
The CD went into production in 2003. Matt mentioned the CD was in progress in May and in August, expressing the plan was for the CD to come out "this summer". By October, the CD was described as "done" and "soon to be released". November 10 saw a more concrete announcement: A Main Page message promising "CD out next week", alongside six short clips of songs: Trogdor, The System is Down, The Cheat is Not Dead, and I Think I Have A Chance With This Guy. As promised, the CD was made available for sale November 17, 2003 until it sold out 21 years later in November 2024.
