A pickaxe is a tool sometimes used by the citizens of Free Country, USA.

- Debut: Email cheatday — The Cheat uses a pickaxe to play mining games.
- Commandos in the Classroom — Reynold holds one when he dresses up as a miner.
- Email retirement — Strong Bad swings a similar-looking pickaxe into the keyboard of the Tandy 400 after pouring Mountain Dew and denture tablets into it, causing it to explode.
- Teen Girl Squad Issue 13 — Momkins carries a pickaxe as she prospects for future ex-husbands.
- @StrongBadActual (28 Mar 2020) — While playing Axe of Rage, Strong Bad muses that the axe on the title screen looks more like "a Gold Rush-era pickaxe" (and then speculates that "Pickaxe of Rage" must not have fit on the front of the box).
