Calligraphy is one of Strong Sad's favorite hobbies. Not suprisingly, there are many references to his remarkable penmanship.

• Old Characters Page — The description for Strong Sad states that "On the plus side, he has very good handwriting!"
• Yearbook Character Page — Strong Sad's autograph clearly shows his superb penmanship, displaying this character trait. In this toon his handwriting is Old English Text MT.
  • The same font is used for his handwriting in A Jorb Well Done, depressio, rock opera, fan club, and Pumpkin Carve-nival.
• Email impression — Contestants of the Strong Sad Lookalike Contest are judged on their appearance, impression, and penmanship. Strong Bad wins the blue ribbon for penmanship, writing "Strong Sad's Fancy Handwriting" in curly-cued letters.
• Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon — While Strong Bad is in jail, Strong Sad has set up calligraphy scrolls and writes to Strong Bad (aka Professor Tor Coolguy) using his caligraphy pen. In this toon his handwriting is English111 Vivace BT, and his signature is Parchment.
