does this need to be a page?
I was thinking that since it isn't an actual Homestar game, it might not deserve an article. cash money tc 01:30, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
- If it features Strong Bad and is made by TBC in some part then it definitely belongs in the wiki. I don't see how it could not. --Stux 01:36, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
- Since it will be featuring what is arguably hr.com's most popular character, I think it deserves an article. However, it will be a stub until the game comes out and we can analyze it. --DENNIS T/C 01:37, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, we shouldn't delete this because when the game comes out, we'll have more information about it. Than we'll discuss if it should stay. So I say Keep for now. Rondleman!

well, even though its REALLY not a Strong Bad game, Strong Bad is a main character and he makes a large appearance. This by far deserves its own page. If the couch has its own page, a product should have its own page.
- I see no reason not to. It's no different than the Mario Wiki having an article on Super Smash Bros. or TFWiki having an article on Dream Mix TV despite not being "pure" entries in their respective franchises. If a Homestar character takes a central role and the product is endorsed by TBC, then it deserves its own article. Hell, if it's anything like Telltale Texas Hold 'em, the transcript article is going to be MASSIVE. -- Cyberlink420 03:15, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
- I can't believe this is even in question. It is an official game with Strong Bad as a playable character, licensed by the Brothers Chaps, using a model from a previous game, and presumably voiced by Matt. This is most certainly noteworthy. As for the transcript, a seperate page for dialouge, like the SBCG4AP ones, seems like an answer. Should it focus on Strong Bad's lines only, Strong Bad's lines and their responses, or, dare I say it, a complete transcript?--Jellote wuz here 20:12, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
- Everyone has a right to their opinion, Jellote. And as for the transcript: I think it should have all of Strong Bad's responses, and other players' responses as needed. It all depends on how the game is executed. I have a feeling, though, that it will turn into a bit of a debate when the game comes out. --DENNIS T/C 00:17, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

This is aimed at Cyberlink420: According to the Telltale crew, this game has more dialogue than a Sam & Max episode
- Any transcript might be overkill. At least with SBCG4AP, certain triggers would occur to help organize the massive dialog trees. If there are set pieces that might work, however. wbwolf (t | ed) 15:46, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Swears?
I don't find the promotional artwork with a "swear" that the article refers to. Little help? OptimisticFool 02:48, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
- It appears to have originated from a "VIP" site. Look at comment #671 here. I'll look for this fabled VIP site some more. --DENNIS T/C 02:56, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
- Ah. Here we go. I haven't gone through all the images, but the claim that swears will be on the game originated from the forum, and the VIP pictures the user referred to came from this link.
This rumor doesn't seem to have much meat on it.--DENNIS T/C 03:02, 4 September 2010 (UTC) - Well, this is rather embarrassing. I was wrong. --DENNIS T/C 03:03, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
- For what it's worth, Telltale reps have confirmed the cursing will either be bleeped or have the option to be bleeped. --Shadow Hog 02:47, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
Heavy Weapons Guy Name
There is clearly disagreement with HWG's name. First off, both of the article's entries should be consistent. Second, should this disagreement continue it should be settled here on this talk page along with accompanying research supporting either claim. Should both claims have merit, we'll host a game of rock, paper, scissors. --Stux 23:51, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
- I've heard arguments from both sides, but I'm kind of leaning towards The Heavy. There was one argument that kind of stuck out to me: calling him "Heavy" would be like calling The Cheat "Cheat". However, I am by no means an authority on the subject. --DENNIS T/C 23:56, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
- I'm willing to accept that. I mean, his full name is "Heavy Weapons Guy" - it was that in QuakeWorld Team Fortress, it was that in Team Fortress Classic, and while it was abbreviated to "Heavy" in TF2, it's still short for "Heavy Weapons Guy" as per "Meet the Heavy". Nevertheless, there's some fact to how nobody really uses that name in its entirety anymore. Not really worth arguing that point; however, when we're talking about the character and not just a bunch of in-game players, then it's the Heavy (eg: the difference between "the Heavy really likes to eat his Sandvich" and "crap, there are three Heavies with their guns revved around the corner, pop that Uber first"). That's my stance and I'm sticking to it. --Shadow Hog 02:47, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
Relations to other characters
Should it be mentioned how Strong Bad feels about other characters and vice versa? I read here:
http://www.gamepro.com/article/previews/216419/pax-2010-poker-night-at-the-inventory/
That Tycho and Strong Bad really hate each other. They disagree with everything. Meanwhile, the Heavy thinks Strong Bad is like a tiny Heavy. Haven't heard anything about what he thinks of Max or what Max thinks of him. - SnakeBoxer202 04:05, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
Character articles
Should we make character articles for Max, Heavy, and Tycho? I mean, IIRC, we've never had to deal with crossover media in the past, so it's not like there's established precedent...
Personally, I think it'd be fine to make articles for the characters themselves, but not for the franchises they come from. Likewise, even if they mention other characters from the series (like how Max references Flint Paper), we shouldn't make articles for them unless they actually make a physical appearance in-game. -- Cyberlink420 23:11, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
