Tangerine Dreams in weird dream

Tangerine Dreams was The Cheat's iMac computer. He used it to make Flash cartoons including The Cheat Theme Song, Everybody to the Limit, Main Page 15, and many more. It has also been used by Strong Bad, in lieu of the Tandy 400 due to its inoperability, to check his email in weird dream.

The Real Computer

The computer that appears in Labor Dabor appears to be a Slot-Loading Tangerine iMac DV running Mac OS 9. The first slot-loading iMacs were released in the fall of 1999 and were offered in six colors, including Tangerine.

The logo on Tangerine Dreams (the same logo as on the Tandy 400)—a rainbow-colored star with a bite taken out of its side—is a play on the old Apple logo, a rainbow apple with a bite missing.

In the email redesign, The Cheat was shown designing a new No Loafing Sign graphic with a new iMac, preferably a G5 with a built-in iSight.

The new computer features an Apple's wireless mouse, Mighty Mouse, as Strong Bad tells The Cheat to "quit rubbin' that plastic bar of soap on the desk." Despite Strong Bad's clear misunderstanding of the purpose of a mouse, he clearly uses a mouse (or at least a cursor) in lunch special. Also, because it has a flat panel display, Strong Bad criticizes it for not being able to print, because "Somebody sliced off the back of [The Cheat's] monitor." The new computer features an integrated iSight webcam, and has been called "Monosodium Dreams" by Mike Chapman.
