Pseudocharacters

From Homestar Runner Wiki

Pseudocharacters are items in the Homestar Runner universe that at some time or another are treated (and in some cases behave) as real characters. They variously talk, move, and interact with the main characters and the audience. Most pseudocharacters are totally depicted as inanimate objects except for a handful of appearances.

Characters and their abilities

Lappy 486

• Appears in female form from time to time.
• Has a "little toe" (the comma key) as well as a "tail" (the AC cord). (cliffhangers, retirement)
• Uses malaprops ("Tell whim I love" or "under stairs"). (Sbemail 150?!?)
• Tells Strong Bad that she dislikes hushpuppies. (retirement)
• Aids Strong Bad in his death-defying stunt. (Weclome Back)

Compy 386

• Is able to kidnap the Lappy 486. (cliffhangers, retirement)
• "Speaks" with The Paper. (retirement)
• Tells Strong Bad to "cut it out" when he is trying to print out a million dollar bill. (couch patch)
• Dies. (virus, retirement)

Tandy 400

• Is able to kidnap the Lappy 486. (cliffhangers, retirement)
• Seemingly haunts Strong Bad in its "ghost" form. (ghosts)
• Controls a fishing rod with a magnet on the end that causes the Lappy to enter "Teal Screen of Near Death". (retirement)
• "Speaks" with The Paper. (retirement)
• Dies. (invisibility, retirement)

The Paper

• Is able to get sick. (Sick Day)
• Responds to Strong Bad's commands.
• Translates the wishes of the Compy 386 and the Tandy 400 for Strong Bad, and also tels Strong Bad he likes hush puppies. (retirement)
• Can be helpful for sports, tying up Homestar Runner, redesigning itself as a goth or as a preppy paper, and rescuing Strong Bad from deserted islands. (the paper)
• Dies. (the paper)

Frank Bennedetto

• The members of the Homestarmy consider Frank Benedetto to be a real member. (army)
• Is a casualty of the Battle of Strong Badia (though he appears later). (army)
• Has a "mother" from whom Homestar Runner tries to collect Frank's debt of five bucks. (army)
• Is honored with a "memorial statue". (more armies)

Wagon Fulla Pancakes

• In montage:
  • Falls in love with Strong Bad.
  • Is The Cheat's co-worker.
  • Trains for and defeats Homestar in the Champeenship.
  • Has a "spouse" and 2 children.
