The Big Lebowski is a 1998 comedy film written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen starring Jeff Bridges and John Goodman. The movie is widely considered to be a cult classic for its originality and direction, its eccentric characters, and its convoluted plot that centers around The Dude's earnest quest to replace his soiled living room rug. The Brothers Chaps sometimes slip references to this movie in Homestar Runner cartoons.

  • Fan Stuff - Two of the image captions mention "The Big Dabrowski".
  • Main Page 4 - The 4-pointed stars on the back wall are similar to the stars seen in The Dude's bowling alley in The Big Lebowski.
  • Halloween Potion-ma-jig - Pom Pom dresses up as Walter Sobchack, a character from the movie who is a Vietnam veteran. The toon also references other things in the movie such as the severed toe, and lines such as "You're entering a world of pain" and "DONNY, YOU'RE OUT OF YOUR ELEMENT!", which were repeated sayings of Sobchack. Also, at one point in the movie Walter inappropriately draws a gun.
  • Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 13.2 - Strong Bad says "Am I wrong? Somebody, am I wrong?", which was a line said by Sobchack in the movie.
  • Sbemail 150?!? - Strong Sad claims his storyboards are part "Steve Buscemian"; Steve Buscemi played the role of Donny.
