The Homestarmy poster is an obvious play on the poster featuring Uncle Sam with the words "I want you for the US Army!"
- The Homestarmy poster and those flanking it are all based on war propaganda posters disseminated by the US government during World War II.
The Homestarmy poster was originally put up with the letter "m" removed, making it say "Homestary." Only a few hours after being up, the wall paper was changed to include the "m."
Strong Bad's message "Every time that I look at myself, I can't believe how awesome I am!!!" is a quote from Strong Bad Sings.
