Senor
From Homestar Runner Wiki
- This article is about the misuse of the Spanish word "Señor". For the blue storybook character, see Señor. For the mortgage broker and used car salesman, see Senor Cardgage.
The word Senor is a common misuse of the Spanish word Señor. The difference in pronunciation comes from the lack of a tilde over the n — with the ñ, the word is pronounced "sen-yor", and means "Mister" or "Sir" in English. Without the ñ, the word is pronounced "sen-or" and has no particular meaning.
One of the original storybook characters was named Señor, but since then, several of the main characters (most notably Strong Bad) have begun to use the word "Senor" (without the ñ). At first, this seemed like an innocuous mistake, but it has since grown into a running gag and gave rise to Senor Cardgage (who originated in the email kind of cool). Strong Bad also used a similar alias for himself, "Senor Muybueno", in the email pop-up.
