Running Gag
I think I have stumbled onto something. I did some more searching...admitedly because I was tired of getting my fun facts deleted all the time...and with the aid of the handy dandy search engine, I realize this already is a running gag. TBC must really like ice cream. invisible robot fish
TBC have made refrence to ice cream in the following places. Edit this section as appropriate:
- In the Museum, there is a whole folder dedicated to Ice Cream.
- In island, Homestar asks "..is there ice cream yet" and Strong Bad picture Homestar as a bowl of ice cream.
- In the bet, Strong Bad threatens to punch the KoT if he doesn't get a lot of ice cream.
- In part-time job, Strong Bad reveals that he is part of the "Me and The Cheat Ice Cream Socials Club."
- In Bug In Mouth Disease, Homestarrunner eats the KoT's perscription ice cream.
- In secret recipes, he offers prank ice cream to Coach Z and Homestar.
- In Old Characters Page, The Homestarrunner is a terrific athlete that shares his ice cream.
- In Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 11.2, a foreigner wants to take Marzipan out for an ice cream date.
- There is a not-yet available Videoelectrix game Sundae Drivin', in which you can drive a bowl of ice cream.
- The two instances that started this whole discussion: the ends of lady...ing and kids' book.
First of all, invisible robot fish, good work compiling the original list. Secondly, I disagree. I think ice cream is simply a common item, and so it's natural that it would pop up from time to time. I don't see a true common thread between all these instances that would elevate this to a running gag. — It's dot com 03:32, 11 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- I agree. Why if this is a running gag, then why not make candy a running gag.--bkmlb 03:46, 11 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- If a common item, like ice cream, get to be a running gag than how about doors? There are alot of doors in Homestar Runner! Now for real. The Poopsmith is a goo.. Oh. Sorry. For real, such common and small itens you find in your everyday life simly cannot be a running gag. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 03:47, 11 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- I think, perhaps, this has the beginnings of a running gag. About half the list is references to Strong Bad alone desiring ice cream. Perhaps it's another aspect of his 'hidden' personality (how many tough guys hang around Baskin Robbins, I ask you). If you look at it in this light, it's kind of funny. Funny and occurs often: that's pretty much the definition of 'running gag', if you get right down to it. --DorianGray
- It only occurs often becouse it is such a common food item. Who doesn't like ice cream? — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 11:26, 11 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Pizza is also a popular food item, but is it used often on Homestar Runner? User:Rogue Leader.sig 12:42, 11 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Yes. Even more than ice cream. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 13:44, 11 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Good point Good point E L Cool, I concede my point. Aparently its just a matter of pizza and ice cream are favorite foods of TBC. invisible robot fish

- Thank you, mr. Fish. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 15:31, 11 Aug 2005 (UTC)
could they be real?
I know this sounds crazy, but my brother says he's eaten one of these once. I know, he could be mistaken, or insane, or even on drugs. But he is not known to tell likes like that and he's doing pretty well in school and stuff. Anyone know anything else about this topic? 70.59.187.173 23:42, 4 Sep 2005 (UTC)
