Pseudocharacters are items in the Homestar Runner universe that at some time or another are treated (and in some cases behave) as real characters. They variously talk, move, and interact with the main characters and the audience. Most pseudocharacters are totally depicted as inanimate objects except for a handful of appearances.

Characters and their abilities
Lappy 486
- Appears in female form from time to time.
- Uses malaprops ("Tell whim I love" or "under stairs"). (Sbemail 150?!?)
- Tells Strong Bad that she dislikes hushpuppies. (retirement)
- Aids Strong Bad in his death-defying stunt. (Weclome Back)
Compy 386
- Is able to kidnap the Lappy 486. (cliffhangers, retirement)
- "Speaks" with The Paper. (retirement)
- Tells Strong Bad to "cut it out" when he is trying to print out a million dollar bill. (couch patch)
- Dies. (virus, retirement)
Tandy 400
- Is able to kidnap the Lappy 486. (cliffhangers, retirement)
- Seemingly haunts Strong Bad in its "ghost" form. (ghosts)
- Controls a fishing rod with a magnet on the end that causes the Lappy to enter "Teal Screen of Near Death". (retirement)
