Transcription Standards

Good work on the origins commentary transcript. Please read the Transcription Standards as soon as possible. -The Somewhat Awesome Jesty

Uh, there aren't scenes in the transcript. It is just people talking. Basically, there is just some laughter in he backround. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 22:27, 20 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Yes, but there is a certain format you must follow. Please read it. -The Somewhat Awesome Jesty

Jester, if you're gonna take the time to post on someone's talk page, don't just say "read this or that." Be specific with your concerns. [Edit conflict] Rogue, as near as I can tell based on his edit of the commentary, he wants you to be sure and capitalize the whole name of whoever is speaking, and to keep a close eye on punctuation and formatting {like this}. — It's dot com 19:43, 21 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Sorry, missed that. I did read that, and now I am capitalizing the names (that was my only problem, right). Rogue Leader / (my talk) 19:32, 21 Sep 2005 (UTC)

As far as I can see, I have mended my ways. The names are capitalized, which I think was the main concern. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 19:47, 21 Sep 2005 (UTC)

User creation dates

Hey Rogue Leader, I just noticed this. Since I became a user before there was a "The Stick", there would be no welcome message on my talk page. Well, I just came back from a month's absence of contributions, and I found you had formally welcomed me on my talk page, as if I was a new user. It's actually pretty funny, considering I actually must have appeared to be new. That's my question actually. As a sysop, could you look up the date that I became a user? I kind of forgot, and I don't think it's an open feature to non-sysops. I think it happened around April 05, maybe? Anyway, could you check for me? Thanks. — Lapper (talk)

Uh, I am not a sysop. I think I can still help, but I am not a sysop. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 00:54, 21 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Lapper, your earliest logged-in edit was 10 Apr 2005. Assuming you made an edit the day you joined, that's the day. — It's dot com 00:57, 21 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Welcoming

Hi Rogue. Make sure someone else hasn't already welcomed someone when you welcome them. Nearly all of those links were already on that guy's page. — It's dot com 21:31, 21 Sep 2005 (UTC)

I thought he deserved a formal welcome. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 21:33, 21 Sep 2005 (UTC)

And that's fine, but you duplicated not only some of the links but also the exact wording. If you want to add some additional links and a personal message, then by all means go for it. But when someone else has already specifically used the words "welcome to the wiki," then you need to adapt your wording a bit. — It's dot com 21:35, 21 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Remaining DVD Commentaries

Hi, Rogue Leader. I couldn't help but notice you've been actively contributing your time to help transcribe the remaining DVD commentaries. That effort is most appreciated by the wiki community. What I would like to know is if you wouldn't mind allowing me to finish up the remaining three incomplete DVD commentary sections (the short list is on my user page). I planned on allocating some time in the next day for transcribing the remaining ones. If you've already started to complete them (or made plans to), then I will certainly yield to you. —THE PAPER PREEEOW 04:34, 23 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Sure you can! I was getting a little bit tired of doing them, anyway. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 19:15, 23 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Welcome Parade

How come you got a welcoming parade? I have welcomed 100+ and no one has said anything. – Pertmywert (Talk·Edits) 20:34, 28 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Acknowledge it! Scream it from the mountains! Rogue Leader / (my talk) 20:35, 28 Sep 2005 (UTC)

So you're saying I should post it on my user page and stuff until someone congrats me??? – Pertmywert (Talk·Edits) 05:35, 29 Sep 2005 (UTC)
I seem to recall thanking you for welcoming people (edit: such as it was) a while back. Suddenly I'm no one? — It's dot com 05:42, 29 Sep 2005 (UTC)
You did? When? – Pertmywert (Talk·Edits) 05:44, 29 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Well, if you'll remember, the discussion began here, and continued over several talk pages. — It's dot com 06:17, 29 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Um

Excuse me, how did you do that to your user name? -Thechamp 21:33, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)

I simply made a signature. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 21:33, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)

How? -Thechamp 21:35, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)

I made a subpage and provided links that I colored with hexidecimal numbers. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 21:37, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)

oook, I have no idea what that tells me, Could you help me out by giving me an example on my page and how to do it, step by step? please? -Thechamp 21:39, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)

This might help. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 21:42, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)

The Geddup Variation

Actually, I kinda side with Stux on this one; since he personified Geddy and differentiates between him and the aurally identical Chairscoot, one would think that aurally distinguishable variants would NOT be Geddy and shouldn't be mixed in.

We have had many times were variations were broken down into seperate cateogries. Stux needs to get at least 5-7 for a seperate category. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 04:41, 4 Oct 2005 (UTC)
