Hanna Barbera was an animation studio founded by William Hanna and Joe Barbera, who were originally known for the Tom & Jerry theatrical shorts produced for MGM. Hanna-Barbera productions were a staple of television animation from the 1960s until the early 1980s. In keeping with The Brothers Chaps intention with creating Saturday morning cartooons, references to these shows occasionally appear in the toons.

- The Luau — As everyone runs over to Marzipan's luau, the bongos from Hanna-Barbera's running scenes plays.
- Email highschool — The Homestar Runner Mysfit-steries is a parody of the countless teenage detective shows produced by Hanna-Barbera. The Easter Egg with The Homestar Runner was inspired by the short lived series The Roman Holidays.
- Strong Bad Gameways — Strong Bad warns Wii players to avoid "flotsam and Jetsons".
- Strong Badia the Free Cave Girl Squad — Ogg drives a car similar to the one from The Flintstones.
- Most in the Graveyard — Homsar dresses as Captain Caveman.
