The word "Style" is a running gag within the Homestar Runner universe. Though most closely associated with Nebulon, the word is used by all manner of characters.

- Hairstyle Runner — "Style" is obviously in the title of the game.
- Email the basics — Strong Bad encourages TJ to "develop [his] own style."
- Email flag day — In the DVD commentary, Mike and Matt discuss making a style guide.
- Email techno — Strong Bad says that techno music is "not really [his] style."
- Strong Sad's Lament — One of Strong Sad's poems seems a "little too upbeat for [his] style."
