"Yes. The world will never know for sure!"

In six consecutive Strong Bad Emails, characters referred to DNA evidence without any context given for why they would be discussing it.

The appearances remained unexplained until they were tied together in the toon DNA Evidence, in which the story was revealed, sort of. Strong Bad decided one day to find out if Strong Sad was part elephant or part hippo or something. But when he was finished stepping on Marzipan's pecan pie he decided to look in her couch for some change and the vial containing it fell out of his pocket. Marzipan found it later after coming back from a toga party and decided to find out what it was by sending it over to Bubs. But Strong Bad was listening to the two's talk, so he punched a hole in Bubs green apple corn syrup dispenser and ordered for a green apple snow cone. With Bubs run out, he poured the DNA evidence into the snow cone. Hoping Marzipan won't know what happened, he sent back the vial with purple corn syrup in it marked "Tampered With". When Strong Bad got home, his snow cone had melted, so he put it into a beaker on the desk of his computer. At that time, Homestar was sent by Marzipan to look for it, so he went to find it at Strong Bad's house. He found the vial then he drink it thinking it was Mountain Dew and spited it out on The Cheat, which he wipes off himself with a dirty towel. Coach Z as his one of his many exaggerated identities "Damp Towelman" found the towel and brought it to the office for his janitor work. But while no one was looking, Strong Sad secretly grabbed the towel from the cart. He puts the DNA evidence in his secrets that I keep box. And now, the world may never know (Except Homsar, he saw Strong Sad telling the truth about it, but he can't communicate with everyone).

DNA is often used in forensic science deduction to connect bodily fluids or tissue found at a crime scene to a particular individual. It may also be used to identify a corpse.

Sequence of events

  • Debut: Email strong badathlon — Marzipan believes the DNA evidence has been tampered with.
  • Email unnatural — Strong Bad reveals to The Cheat that he was the one who tampered with the DNA evidence.
  • Email the movies — A character in the movie says that when he returned, the DNA evidence was gone.
  • Email your funeral — Homestar Runner comes home and Marzipan asks if he found the DNA evidence.
  • Email from work — Homestar Runner tells Pom Pom that he'll have the DNA evidence on his desk by 5:00.
  • Email rough copy (Easter Egg) — Homestar Runner sits on the couch, and flatly says "DNA evidence" after a long pause and an exasperated sigh.
  • DNA Evidence — Strong Sad investigates the story behind the gag, and all our questions are answered... sort of.
