JPGS are for photo and video images, screenshots should always be PNGs. I'm not sure of the technical reasons, but they just look better. Tom explaned it all to me like a year and a half ago, but I forgot everything that he explained, besides the basic principle that it should be that way. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 05:41, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

Here's a better answer with links if you want a better explanation. It's come up before, originally being discussed around a year and a half ago. For further reading, check on over [[Wikipedia:JPEG}JPEG|here]]. But as a general rule of thumb, if it's a screenshot of the website, it's a PNG. If it's a photograph of something that hasn't been converted to flash, then it's a JPEG. I'm not sure if it's ever been written in stone under the HRWiki policy, but I'll look into it. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 05:55, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
