:JPGS are for photo and video images, screenshots should always be PNGs. I'm not sure of the technical reasons, but they just look better. [[User:Tom|Tom]] explaned it all to me like a year and a half ago, but I forgot everything that he explained, besides the basic principle that it should be that way. {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}} 05:41, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

:::Here's a better answer with links if you want a better explanation. It's [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=HRWiki%3ADa_Basement&diff=240836&oldid=240828 come up before], originally being discussed around [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=User_talk%3ATom&diff=12235&oldid=12114 a year and a half ago]. For further reading, check on over [[Wikipedia:JPEG}JPEG|here]]. But as a general rule of thumb, if it's a screenshot of the website, it's a PNG. If it's a photograph of something that hasn't been converted to flash, then it's a JPEG. I'm not sure if it's ever been written in stone under the HRWiki policy, but I'll look into it. {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}} 05:55, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
