::No, I don't think it has anything to do with deleted pages.  The number on the [[Main Page]] doesn't include pages marked as [[:Category:Stubs|stubs]], so as pages are marked and un-marked as stubs, the number changes accordingly.  [[Game Sightings]] was the first page to be the 1,000th page. :That would be ideal. However, before doing so make sure that the font is free. This will take some research because a lot of fonts that aren't meant to be free are available illegally on some free font sites, and linking to those is out of the question. OK, I've gone through [[other days]] looking for what font was used on SB's Block screen, and I've come up empty. I thought it might be Charybdis, which is very close, but not quite it. So I consulted WhatTheFont and got an even closer result, but the loop of the "P" is two "pixels" instead of three. So it's not that either. Any ideas?

:::No, that template wouldn't work here at all. The list of fonts used on the H*R website is finite and countable, and it would be possible for us to have every font listed here. Yes, every time they add a new toon, we'd have to see whether they use any new fonts, but once those are added then the list would be complete again. This article is incomplete because there are still fonts ''currently on'' the H*R website that are not listed here. Apparently, Blippo was the previous name of Bauhaus 93 and our policy is to use the earliest name of the font. I personally think that an exception should be made here. I would like to draw attention to the [[Fonts#Gaslight|gaslight]] [[:Image:GaslightFont.PNG|sample image]] which actually has two fonts and it is not clear which is which.  My guess is that the top font is [[Fonts#Broadway|broadway]] and that the bottom sample is gaslight. This is only a single instance making that version overkill.  As for your span-linked (<span title="pUNKDONKEYFEMALEDOG">pUNKA**B****</span>) version of the hoverlink, I don't think this is an effective solution either. There is no notice that the uncensored version is a hover link.  People who'd like to see won't know what to look for and people who don't may accidentally see it.  If there was a notice, then this method might not be as necessary.  Then again we could have a notice that said "hover here for uncensored version", but there's still the issue of accidental hovers.  The spoilers version I suggested was the ones on bulletin boards where you have a button (in this case it would say "click for uncensored version") and clicking the button would magically show the goods. == Finding Fonts ==

Let me paint a hypothetical scenario, then make a suggestion.  Let's say John Doe happens onto the [[Fonts]] page and remembers that he once saw a toon that had some kick awesome font in it that he had always wanted to find to download.  But, alas, upon doing a sweep of the page for the toon name, he finds it not!  Discouraged and disheartened, he swears vengeance upon Trogdor and ends up getting himself killed.  To prevent this tragedy, I suggest a [[Fonts by Toon]] article (or something similarly-named) wherein we might document every font used in each toon (but NOT with images for each one).  I'd be anticipating separate tables for each type of toon, something like:

:::::Nothing automatic about it, but it isn't difficult to do "by hand".  I start by individually opening each email (in order) until I have about 50 open in "Flash Decompiler Trillix by Eltima Software" (demo).  (To do that with sbemails, I've just kept the URL <nowiki>"http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail.swf"</nowiki> copied to the clipboard, then paste it and type in just the email # each time; I'm sure it will be a bit hard with toons, shorts, etc.)  The Flash file shows which fonts are a part of each file and I type those names into the table, deleting the Flash file out of the decompiler each time I complete the list of fonts for that file.  One exception so far is sbemail29 which also has the font "Tw Cen MT" but there is no text in the sbemail that uses that font.  That email is also unique in that all of Strong Bad's typing is done employing what the Flash file calls "shapes".  It's clearly still from the font Westminster, but I feel that "fonts that are shapes" should somehow be differentiated from the rest.  I'm sorry to say that TBC do this frequently enough that some fonts may be impossible to find and really will need to be compared to other fonts to determine what they are, since the Flash file gives no clue.  One example is the "Here Comes The Thnikkaman" text.  No idea what font that is.  Also, product names are often done using shapes, like "[[School Paste]]". :Web sites don't always list the name of the font as it appears after installation.  Words like "Plain" and "Regular" are often thrown in for example, but don't actually appear that way in Wordpad or whatever. == Does Almost Count? ==

Does "almost" count in horseshoes, hand grenades, and fonts?  Each Flash file clearly identifies font names as they appear in TBC's list of fonts, yet some of their fonts seem to be slight variations of otherwise easy-to-find fonts.  For instance, TBC have a font called "Æ Systematic TT (BRK)" but the download sites I've gone through have this font that installs as "Æ Systematic TT BRK" (the difference being the lack of parentheses).  Another example is "Keep on Truckin" which installs as "Keep on Truckin'FW" from the many sites I find it on.  Recently, my attitude was "{{p|l=http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=Fonts&diff=653630&oldid=652843 Meh}}", but I'm starting to change my mind.  While these fonts are at least very similar, if not identical, and could easily be justified for use in creating authentic-looking fan stuff, they're just not THE fonts that TBC have.  This means that, when opening a decompiled SWF (aka FLA) in Macromedia Flash, the program alerts the user that the're still missing the correct font.  So, should we link to these fonts, or not? ::Got a start on the A (and a few other) sections, but am pausing for now as I'm second-guessing myself. Previous users like OptimisticFool did put in a lot of work to find the exact fonts used; but just because you CAN find a free font doesn't mean it's truly free - for example, [https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/font-list/baskerville-old-face Baskerville Old Face] is ''supposed to be'' [https://www.fonts.com/content/microsoft-typography licensed from Microsoft], even if you can [https://www.sofontes.com.br/en/Baskerville-Old-Face/download/2958 find a free link] with ease. I do feel that only linking to Wikipedia is the "right" way to do things, kind of like how [[The Big Lebowski]] page links to Wikipedia and not a pirated stream of the full movie. I do suspect that TBC ''probably'' sifted through a bunch of 'free font' websites (heck, I've done the same) but I don't feel this approach is correct for a wiki. Besides, you can just go in the history of the page and find the links if you so desire. :::Your talk of how much time people spent on finding links to all these fonts reminds me of the STUFF process for a [[HRWiki:STUFF/Archive/Teen Girl Squad Issue 9#Math Geek|fun fact for TGS Issue 9]], where one of the arguments for says that it should be accepted due to how much time someone took to try and decipher Tompkins' math homework, while another comment says that the time put into the fact doesn't factor into whether or not it should be used. I think that comment applies here as well; it doesn't matter how much time was put into finding a good number of these links, as they're links to illegally download fonts, and we shouldn't support piracy. ::::The work put in to find these links is already preserved in the page history, so I don't think it needs to stay on the current page, as linking to unofficial font downloads (and in some cases supporting piracy) doesn't exactly reflect this wiki's usual [[underlings|<s>tact and</s>]] professionalism. This article provides the font names, making it easy enough to find a link to a free download if one so chooses.
