Hello, and welcome to The Homestar Runner Wiki! This is the best place, as you've probably noticed, to learn about anything and everything Homestar Runner. There are a couple of things you should read up on before you really start jumping in and editing -

If you have any questions, ask them up in the HelpDesk, me, or any other of the sysops or admins ('sysop' is just a special term for someone who watches over the wiki and has a few more rights than other users). I'm sure you'll catch on quickly, and all of the users are very nice here. Feel free to delete this message when you're done reading it, and I hope you stick around and join our team. [edit] Creating an online signature

Hi, Ampi. You asked how to create a signature. What you can do first is look at these pages ([1], [2], and [3]) for some ideas/examples. Next, click on this link: User:Ampi/sig and make your custom siggy. Feel free to use some of the code from other users as long as you don't copy directly off someone else. After you create your sig, head over to "preferences" and where it says Your nickname (for signatures), put {{User:Ampi/sig}} in the box and click "Save Preferences". From then on, you can use your sig by using the button button_sig.png or typing ~~~~. Good luck, hope this helps! —THE PAPER PREEEOW 01:52, 28 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Hey Ampi. It's also important in your preferences to make sure that "Raw signatures (without automatic link)" is checked. Also, you can hit "Show preview" to test the look of your sig as you're editing it without creating a new entry in the Recent changes — It's dot com 02:36, 28 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Hey Ampi. I fixed {{User:Ampi/sig}} so that it doesn't crash my browser when I try to load it. I also see that you have a signature at {{User:Ampi/sig2}}. Which one do you want to use? The other needs to be deleted. — It's dot com 22:50, 14 Sep 2005 (UTC)

You can delete {{User:Ampi/sig}}. I only created the second one because I needed to change something on it. So I created a second one.--~~Ampi~~meowarchives 23:35, 14 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Done. (By FireBird, actually.) Something went wrong when you voted in STUFF earlier today. You may need to change your preferences so that it reads "/sig2" after your name. — It's dot com 00:02, 15 Sep 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Spelling error (I think!)

In the first paragraph on your user page, I think I noticed a spelling error. I have copied it and the bold part is where I think the error is:

Hi! First off, my user name is named after my cat, Amplitude. I got her on April 20, 2005. I joined the wiki on July 17, 2005. I just make minor changes and add to the fun facts. One of my friends told me about Homestar Runner and I've been a HUGE fan since. I really hate it when people say false facts about the sight. Like when people spell "The Cheat" as "The Cheet" or when people say Homestar's star on his shirt is yellow. IT'S WHITE!!!! Also, when it's hot outside, I like to drink smoothies. I own Strondbademail.exe and Disc 4, but Strong Bad Sings is on my wish list. If you can leave me a comment, that would be appreciated. Just click here.

Shouldn't it be Stron"g"bademail.exe??? I don't know the file name...but I'm pretty sure it's a spelling error!

I'm sorry if you didn't want me to copy and paste that part, but I couldn't think of any other way to describe it!

And, before you ask, yes I am very....how should I put it? Picky about spellings!!

I have recently looked at your text adventures. I liked them. but not
nearly as good as the super adventure. We need to team up and destroy the super
adventure! But not just through running in and destroying it.
