Talk:Redundancy
From Homestar Runner Wiki
Before Editing the article, make sure that the "redundant" portion of the quote, text, whatever; does NOT have a comma between the two similar words. Exa: "Man, man." This isn't redundancy. Unless it's a list. (IE: Backpack, Backpack.) —ColdReactive 03:53, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Needs Work
This article needs alot of work. I would do more but I gotta go to bed. Guybrush20X6 23:18, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

[edit] More... Better...
Does someone remember where this one is from? I know it's in a sbemail, but if someone knows it, it goes under pleonasms. —ColdReactive 03:32, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
- A google search revealed this was from interview (see SB's immediate response to the email). --Stux 03:45, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

I feel like the "Aren't be" is another pleonasm, or just another messing-with-the-verb-be. I also think 'sweaty sweat-sweats' doesn't really count, as duplication is just sort of a way of nicknaming something ("my sweat-sweats are getting sweaty") and sweatpants don't always HAVE sweat in them, so it's not redundant to get them sweaty. And it might even be an even cutesier way of talking, 'blanky blank blank' is kinda just a thing like chinny chin chin or hardy har har. And now I feel like a proper Gron Sad for going this in depth.
[edit] Would this count?
In Sickly Sam's big outing would OTStrong bad's overly long rant about selling sickly sam to the glue factory count as redundancy?
