Considering that this is being used by 2 other users at the moment, and is also on the userbox page, does it still count as one of my personal images? (Don't actually have anything else to upload at this moment, so don't mind if it's left, just wondering about protocol on this) DumbMuscle 15:38, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- We don't really have an established consensus on this kind of thing, but here are my thoughts: I think extremely generic images (such as a national flag) that multiple users can use should belong to the community. — It's dot com 15:48, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- We did our best to foresee the situation when we drew up HRWiki:Personal images#Images in use by more than one person. That states that the image belongs to the first uploader, in this case you, DumbMuscle. If you were to stop using it, we'd attribute it to the user who has been using it the longest (As of right now, that happens to be User:The Chort, and he only beat out User:Jeppo by a mere twenty-nine minutes.) I don't see the situation arising too often, and even if it did, I doubt there would be too many users sharing the image. -- Tom 16:07, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- Actually I meant more along the lines of "does this still count towards my 2 large images allowed?" rather than the ownership of the picture.
- Quote from HRWiki:Personal_images "Each user is allowed two large personal images. A personal image is defined as one not in specific use by the project."
- Technically the picture is not in use by the project (contributes towards userpages rather than the wiki), but is in use by multiple users, so is in a bit of a grey area DumbMuscle 16:22, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

- Yes, that bit you quote makes it a personal image, and the HRWiki:Personal images#Images in use by more than one person section I mentioned makes it count as your personal image towards your count of two large personal images. -- Tom 16:56, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
