[edit] Music

{conversation moved from Talk:privileges} By the way, how come you to such a vasty knowledge of musical lore, and why come you don't have a user page? —AbdiViklas 20:40, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

Ah, well, I guess I never got around to my user page. I'll get on that soon. My knowledge of theory comes from me working on Grade 10 (Royal Conservatory) piano and having recently written my Grade 2 Rudiments exam. I've been working on Harmony recently too.

Cool! I don't have any knowledge of what the grade levels mean in the British system, but I do know what the words "Royal Conservatory" mean! There was a cellist at Eastman who transferred from there, and he was... we'll just say "quite good" and leave it at that. —AbdiViklas 18:01, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
I think The Royal Conservatory of Music is a school in Toronto, right? And they're the ones who came up with the grading system a lot of Canadians use? I'm not sure, exactly, all I know is that my piano playing goes by that system.

Ah, my bad. Upon further research the RCM is in Canada; I had thought it was in London. (I'm not sure what the main music school in the UK is, then...) Are you Canadian yourself? —AbdiViklas 20:27, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
Heh, yes, I am Canadian. I'm also nowhere near University level in music, as I'm only 16.
