It may not be the best to encourage other users to edit your page. Apparently, it's against the Homestar Runner Wiki's policy to allow anyone to even formally edit a user page with permission. Oh, and I do have another bit of advice. Instead of having to type-up/copy and paste "Not Dennis (formerly known as 98.166.118.63)", it may be of help to create yourself a signature. If you want to skip the tiny guideline details now, just create the page User:Not Dennis/sig and put in "--Not Dennis (aka 98.166.118.63)" just to start off while complying with the guidelines. ----75.41.212.228 02:53, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Hey, not my fault. Every1 else has there own little trivia question or fan club or cheesecake. As far as I'm concerned, hrwikians (or whatever y'all call yourselves) have a right to make these little doohickys. As for irrelevance, how relevant could it possibly be? It's a H*R character at least, not to mention a very popular one. If you don't want it to be a pseudoreligion that's fine, I'll just make it a Trogdor fan club. And if you want it off completely that's fine too, but if you could suggest another place for it, that'd be grate. Guys, I understand the interest in having fun and things. Nonetheless, our purpose here is not to have clubs, contests, games and the like. We are not an HR-themed social networking site. We are a knowledge base. You can think of us as an encyclopedia about Homestar Runner. The reason these clubs and such are irrelevant is that they have nothing to do with building an encyclopedia. We do tolerate some amount of idle chatter and such for the sake of community building. When it gets to the point it did yesterday, though, where there are about fifteen nearly consecutive diffs on RC that are all userspace and user talk space edits not having to do with our articles, it's gone too far. Please note also that we tend to be much more tolerant of non-related activities among those who have been heavily active in the project. I'm afraid neither of you really falls into that category, as you both have fewer than ten mainspace edits. Maybe have a look at doing some article writing? That'd be a great way to spend your time and it helps you meet people! Heimstern Läufer 02:36, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
