I think Saberlord's Scritchascratch Cakemonger The Cheat is a variation, but is real like Senor Cardgage, or another of The Cheat's other costumes. Justin Master of Nature 19:12, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

What does The Cheat throw?

The Cheat uses something to both break Trivia Time and throw at Homestar. Does anyone recognize what that object is? In both cases it is the same object. No, The Cheat does not throw the electric grill at Homestar.

There's already a fact on the page for what he used to break TT, but I could SWORN it was the Cooking Device he threw at Homestar. But I can't check right now. --Jay (Talk) 19:18, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
Eh, never mind. I guess you're right. --Jay (Talk) 19:23, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Gorf?

"Unintelligible" during The Cheat's score announcement is misspelled "Unitntelligible"

I'm not really sure about this. I think it's purposely spelt that way to literally make it unintelligible. What do you think?

No, I'd wager it's a typo. I've coined those kind of unneeded "addendums" as "This Might Be Because...", and I tend to remove them wherever I see them. They don't really add much, and are entirely speculation. -YKHi. I'm Ayjo! 22:14, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
The fact that they fixed it leans heavily toward this NOT being the case, as well. --Jay (Talk) 00:03, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Holy-crap-adorable

I can't have been the only one to notice that The Cheat's eyes are HUGE in this email. What do you people think? Design update or just something for this email? --Kiwi 16:22, 4 Feb 2008 (UTC)

I'd say it's just for this email. To make him cuter and more likely to win. But we'll have to see, eh? --DorianGray 21:31, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
it better not be permanent. at any rate, it's strange that his eyes were like that for the entire email, even when strong badandmad are glazing him over ---Zatchman 00:54, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
And that they didn't explain how they got his eyes to look like that. On the other hand, TBC would not do so drastic a change so suddenly at a time like this. ---Alex H.

We will still need to keep our eyes open, though, because unless i am very much mistaken, the cheat's nose is curvier than it normally is, so even if the eyes go back to normal (please oh lord) it's possible the cheat still has a permanent design change here --Zatchman 03:55, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

My suspicion is that his enlarged eyes were supposed be a result of being glazed. I rubbed glaze all over my eyeballs and they became huge, too, so that's got to be it. It's hard to blink now, though. OptimisticFool 04:31, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
at the risk of going forumy, i have to ask: did it make your nose curve, too? --Zatchman 07:04, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Gritty Kitty

I can't find any pictures online, but isn't the Cat Mess bag and font a visual reference to the Gritty Kitty brand of cat litter from Ren & Stimpy?

I don't think so [1]Loafing 00:39, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Simpsons

There's not really any reason to believe the potatoes line is a Simpsons reference. It's quite possible to independantly come up with a line like that.

An excellent point. Some people once might have said, "Is there anything books can't do?" or, "Pencils, is there anything they can't do?", you get the idea. --Charlie Jr. 18:50, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Smiling

So... we've got down SB and SM smiling, but did anyone else notice that Marzipan has a ridiculously large grin on her face when she puts that leash on Homestar? ...Why do we even have a page for characters smiling, anyway? -Zero.exe

That's a very good question
We don't have Marzipan because her mouth is nearly always smiling. And as for your question...we have them because it's unusual that those characters smile. Their mouths are naturally a frown. Unbalanced 23:50, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Miss America

Why does the pet show resemble the Miss America pageant? Is it just the dance contest?--.Johnny Jupiter! talk cont 03:04, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

There's also the place where Strong Bad is quizzing Teh C. on how he'd respond to various questions, such as the "world situation." One would not expect this in your average pet show (I'd hope not anyway; my cat's views on world politics basically come down to "My human rocks because he pets me and feeds me, and to pfargtl with everyone else!") --Jay (Talk) 03:42, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I think that "world situation" thing is a Miss America reference, too. Should we add it to Real-World References? but, a buttdanceNeox ONION BUBS!YOU WILL RESPECT MAH AUTHORI-TAH!!!

That's nice, but this is really something for the forums. Unbalanced 23:46, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
