: The animation gag makes it obvious. Also, I don't believe "Bumble" is ever given as the Abominable Snowman's name anywhere in Rudolph; only one character ever calls him that that I recall, and it's a character who spouts lots of malapropisms and probably has issues with the word "abominable". I'm actually about to make that change now. -- 17:53, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

: Other things: a) Strong Mad's head is ALWAYS below his shoulders, so you can't really use that as proof of anything. Besides, the Monsters Inc.'s Abominable's head isn't so much. b) Part of Strong Mad's face is blue; this matches the Rudolph Abominable, but not the Monsters Inc. one. c) Everyone is wearing costumes based on Christmas in some fashion (well, Coach Z not so much, but you know what I mean.) Rudolph is a Christmas special. Monsters Inc. is not. So, no, he's Rudolph's Abominable. -- 18:03, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

::I think Strong Mad looks an awful lot like the Monster's Inc. Abomobanibilible Snowman, especially the toy version.  Also, Rudolph's is a Snowmonster, not a Snowman.. though this doesn't necessarily prove anything, since TBC may have made a mistake in labeling.  Also, snowmen are always reminiscent of Christmas (Decemberween), whether or not they are abominable, IMO.  I'm not taking sides at this point, though.. just making observations.  18:24, 23 December 2010 (UTC)

:::Homestar says, "Ooh, Strong Mad, your animation is soooo Rankin/Bass," as in the people who made Rudolph. It seems pretty clear that's what he's supposed to be from, even if they messed up (or deliberately overlooked) a detail or two. — It's dot com 05:49, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

I just watched both the animated version and the live action movie. The Cheat's horn is taken more accurately from the movie instead of from the cartoon, and Marzipan's costume is taken directly from the cartoon and doesn't look anything like Cindy Lou Who looks in the movie. Where does this difference remark go? I wasn't sure whether to put it on the Which Ween Costumes? page or this page. This page doesn't look like it has a place to put such remarks. 05:36, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

:I think this page is fine. Note, for example, Halloween Fairstival Costumes where it lists Cesar Romero's moustache as part of Strong Bad's The Joker costume. --DorianGray 05:50, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

::I'm talking about noting a difference between two distinct versions of the same original source. They both come from How the Grinch Stole Christmas, but one comes from the cartoon and the other one comes from the movie. it doesn't look like this page has a place for a remark like

::*Even though The Cheat and Marzipan both come from the same original source, The Cheat's costume references the live-action movie more accurately, while Marzipan's costume is taken from the older, animated version.

::so i came here to ask where a remark like that would go. I don't think a Remarks section under all the costume descriptions is practical, but i'm not sure. 06:26, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

:::Could you get a picture of the live-action Max for comparison? I'm not really seeing how The Cheat is dressed as that Max any more than the book or cartoon Max. -- 15:15, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

::::I watched them on tv. i've found a snapshot of the cartoon, but the live-action movie is more elusive. and I just looked at the book, and the horn is pretty close to that horn as well. In the cartoon, Max falls over, so the Grinch has to saw off several of the antlers. The remainder of the toon has the straight ends where they have been sawed, as oppose to the others, where the ends are rounded. Regardless, whichever one they are taken from, it's not the same as Cindy Lou Who. she looks different in all three. Is this cartoon snapshot useless w/o the other two to compare it to? i'm also not sure about the licensing, so if someone could complete that for me, that'd be awesome. 18:55, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
