Brick.

I'm not convinced that bricks are used in H*R in any unusual way, thus doesn't really need to be documented. delete wbwolf (t | ed) 13:35, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

I'm a gonna throw a brick at this waste of bytes. No, really, Nuetral until we see what the good page looks like. Once we get some quality control in here, I'll be ready to judge. --Jellote wuz here 13:42, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Actually, seeing how the original poster was rude and tried to remove my post, I say delete. I only wanted a new user to have a chance. Now that he has refused to take my sympathy, I can only say one thing: die, page, die. If someone is defending you even though they think what you are defending is not good, you don't snap at them. I never did like this page. I only defended it because he reminded me of myself on my first day. So now that he has shown he does not care, I say delete. --Jellote wuz here 14:32, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Jellote, 1. maybe it was an accident. 2. pages should be judged on their merits, not the merits of the creator. 3. Neutral is a good position at present, given that strong bad does seem to talk about throwing bricks more often than is ordinary, i'd like to see how this page shapes up first... "attach definite brick to scotty titi's face", "throw a brick through your dad's windshield", "throw a brick through a plate glass window", and that's just what i cam up with in the time it took to type this message, i'm sure there are plenty more. — Defender1031*Talk 17:34, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Jellote, you do know that these threads are not straight votes, right? They're discussions. If you can give a good reason this shouldn't be included, fine, but arguing for deletion completely out of spite will be completely ignored when it comes time to determine consensus. — It's dot com 17:41, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
These seem more like Strong Bad's attempts at Vandalism and Assault and Battery. I think the information is better served there and the page redirected (even if the grouping is lost). If the pattern diverges away from strong bad committing crimes then the page has more merit. --Stux 18:19, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Not one of the instances i mentioned falls under that category. Throwing a brick at an imaginary friend, threatening throwing a brick through a windshield if one doesn't spellcheck, and encouraging others to throw a brick through a window are not crimes in and of themselves. Further, even if they were, this discussion is about the prominence of bricks and a pattern therein, not about whether that pattern fits into something larger, yet wholly unrelated. — Defender1031*Talk 18:21, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
The three entries currently listed in the article are indeed crimes; threatening to commit a crime can be a crime as well, and under the right circumstances encouraging others to commit a crime can be a crime too! So, if most of the instances where bricks are involved surround strong bad committing or attempting to commit some crime, then the pattern is in no way unrelated. --Stux 18:29, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Jellote-- i apolgoze that my behavior regaurding your comment made you so upset. I am a new user 'tryin to figure stuff out. Your second comment explained more fully your reasons for the first, wich i took more as a derogatory comment than sympathy. I did not entirely comprehend it then, and i do now-for this I am sorry. I will try to improve this article as best I can, but if you think that it should be deleted, so be it. I have no negative opinions of you- simply a post i did not understand. Truce? Please?
So after cleaning up the page i realized that there's not really enough connection between all the various bricks of the H*R universe to warrant a page. However, going on what I said earlier, I experimented with narrowing it down to just the activity of brick-throwing, and i think that that gives enough to go on. I propose that we move this page to "Brick-Throwing" and call it a day. (Incidentally, when i mentioned the plate glass window earlier, i got confused... it was actually a trash can that SB encouraged throwing in that instance.) — Defender1031*Talk 01:10, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
I'm with Fendm'n. Espemon333 01:12, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
thanks for updating the page to brick-throwing. it makes more sense than my origional!
I think Bricks are too general, but brick-throwing is juuuuuuuust right. I'd like to point out that Throwing Rocks through Old Man Marzipan's Window is pretty similar, but since it's not a brick, I don't know that it's worth including here. --Jay (Talk) 01:16, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
Looks like we may have enough material for a page on "Throwing Objects Through Windows" as well. It would have some overlap, certainly, but we've got our 3 instances. — Defender1031*Talk 01:18, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
I think switching the aim of this article to Brick throwing is a fine idea too. Just as long we still link this article to Crimes Committed by Strong Bad and back in their "See also" sections. --Stux 04:12, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
Page moved. Link added. TBD removed. Wiki bettered. — Defender1031*Talk 15:51, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Name

I think the term "brick-throwing" is awkward. You don't say, "Hey, let's go brick-throwing," you say, "Hey, let's go throw some bricks." In addition, it's pretty much impossible to word the examples such that they actually have "brick-throwing" in them. A better title would be Throwing Bricks or somesuch. — It's dot com 18:03, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Sounds fine to me. I was more worried about scope than name at the time... — Defender1031*Talk 18:06, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
The fact that most of these facts say "throws a brick" instead of "brick-throws" supports this rename. --Mario2.PNG Super Martyo boing! 18:09, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
