::::This is true if either of the words are capitalized. <nowiki>[[making Out]]</nowiki> and <nowiki>[[Making out]]</nowiki> still link to the [[Making Out|gag page]]. <nowiki>[[making out]]</nowiki> will only link to [[making out|the email]]. :::::I think you're still not getting what I'm saying. <nowiki>[[Making out]]</nowiki> apparently ''doesn't'' always link to the gag page. Again, I invite you to look at the link in my edit summary and compare it with the actual title of this section. They have the exact same text with the exact same capitalization, and yet the edit summary links to the email page and the section title links to the gag page. Try it. This works other places as well, as I've said. It seems that the link ''changes'' depending on what page it's on, and I'm bamboozled as to why. {{User:SRMX12/sig}} 00:37, 1 December 2016 (UTC)

::::::I checked, and "[[pom Pom]]" seems to have a similar problem (not that that capitalization would be in a page, but still). If I type it in the URL, it takes me to [[pom pom]], but if I click the link, it takes me to [[Pom Pom]]. Weird. <small>Nice 'cemberween sig, by the way!</small> {{User:Gfdgsgxgzgdrc/sig‎}} 01:29, 1 December 2016 (UTC)

:::::::#It's just a weird edge case with the automatic piping and you probably shouldn't worry about it. Just make sure to manually pipe ambiguous instances and it will be fine.

:::::::#What does any of this have to do with The Virus of all things? Why is this discussion taking place on this page in particular?

::::::::It has to do with the page because there were {{p|l=http://hrwiki.org/w/index.php?title=The_Virus&oldid=759051 some}} {{p|l=http://hrwiki.org/w/index.php?title=The_Virus&oldid=759060 issues}} {{p|l=http://hrwiki.org/w/index.php?title=The_Virus&oldid=759064 in}} {{p|l=http://hrwiki.org/w/index.php?title=The_Virus&oldid=759065 the}} {{p|l=http://hrwiki.org/w/index.php?title=The_Virus&oldid=759066 past}} about the piping of that link on this page, and I wanted to get to the bottom of this. I guess it doesn't have to do strictly with this page, but it seemed especially pertinent here. Perhaps I should've explained this in the beginning. <small>Oh and thanks Gfd! You too.</small> {{User:SRMX12/sig}} 01:58, 1 December 2016 (UTC)

:If there is a link to a non-main autopiped namespace (Talk, project, User, etc.) anywhere on the page, it changes the order in which variant titles are found. Your user page and the sandbox both have links to project pages, but this article does not. I poked around a bit and it wasn't immediately obvious why this occurs, but at least the behavior is predictable. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 02:52, 1 December 2016 (UTC)
