::::Well, you pose a good question. I think the "Integral Elements" is a good idea for the important stuff like compy and whatnot...for the unimportant, I think maybe we can have a "Misc." or "Odds'n'Ends" type thing...but you're right...a line has to be drawn. Arg indeed. -- AgentSeethroo 20:51, 6 Aug 2004 (MST)

The email hygiene, in which New Papes prints a test pattern and Strong Bad makes the above comment, doesn't seem to be listed anywhere here. Under which section would it fall?

Shouldn't we use an image of The Paper that came down in some email like... haircut! "Enough already, Strong Bad" can sure get in the way of things. Some newbies will think that it is the Paper's normal text. --Fangoriously 15:42, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Why should it be listed in "When it's not the paper" when we KNOW it's not the Paper, because it's new paper? Shoud every email from 174 to current be added to the list and say: The Paper does not come down, instead New Paper/Envelope Paper/Compé-per comes down/up. SBE-mail Checker Dan (akka HRE-mail Checker Greg) 19:24, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

-
:That's hardly a fair comparison. The other emails don't contain an imitation of The Real Paper; bike thief does. 06:55, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

::New Paper is A HUGE imitation of The Paper! They even have the same last name! SBE-mail Checker Dan 23:34, 27 December 2009 (UTC)

-
:::With all due respect, that makes no sense at all. 23:35, 27 December 2009 (UTC)

-
::::New Paper is a complete imitation of The Paper, because he's pretty much named New The Paper, without the The. We KNOW that in bike theif it isn't the paper, so why should it be there?

-
:::::Weird opinions about name choice that don't actually make any sense aside, the "When it's not the paper" section is for instances before the paper got replaced, with the exception of the time that New Paper pretended to be this paper, as you cannot possibly make the argument that that's not a reference to this paper. 04:20, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

-
::::::And I don't think Heimy or Deffy mentioned this, in ALL of the examples, we know it's not the paper, so your other arguement doesn't work either. 04:37, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

-
:::::::Our argument boils down to two important points:

-
:::::::#New Paper printed itself out in an imitation of The Paper, which is relevant to the article and should be noted somewhere.

-
:::::::#New Paper is not The Paper, so "When it's not The Paper" is the best fit for where it should be noted.

-
:::::::Other than bike thief, New Paper did not directly imitate The Paper (other than their both being papers), which is why we don't list every email after the paper singly. — It's dot com 21:33, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

"It is shown in 'the paper' that Strong Bad had its printer above his desk, but it is still unclear exactly to what it was attached. "

-

-
Umm, I'm going to have to differ.  Bubs installed the inkjet printer just above the frame,  not above Strong Bad's desk.  Presumably, that's exactly where the original was.  That's what gave it the abilty to transcend time and space--whatever was in the frame, the paper was just above it.  It's basically the same gag as how Homestar usually watches the emails from behind "the black" to one side of the frame.

::Well, if it were demonstrably based on that printer model, such info would be relevant to the article, but I'm not sure we can be certain of that. -132.183.151.135 03:27, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

:::Yeah, an old wiki article shoed the MX-80, so I thought they were the same. I suppose I should put this on the forum, but there might be a section on this in the page if i can get a decent enough image.
