:This differs from fanstuff, as this is an official licensed Homestar Runner game (like the long-delayed [[Homestar Runner RPG]] or the appearance of "Trogdor" in [[Guitar Hero]]).  Since it is official licensed (and even being "developed" by Videletrix), then this will be documented by the regular Wiki. With Sam & Max, we released the games as downloads and then once the whole season was over we assembled a disc and offered it up free to season subscribers.  Not sure if that's what we're doing for Strong Bad (nobody tells me anything fun), but they will be available to download from our site.  And no, they won't be Vista only. == Legal Rampage Issue ==

Transcripts are at the heart of our wiki, allowing us to have a reference guide for Homestarrunner.com and to save us the hassle of sitting through an entire toon to check a line or scene. With this in mind, to what extent will we transcribe the game? I'm against the idea of recording EVERY single line for two reasons: firstly, it would be a massive job to do. Undoubtedly there'll be tens of thousands of lines of dialogue throughout the game and it'll be impossible to find and store them all. The second reason is for legal issues: it seems to be OK to transcribe toons on the website since the transcripts won't significantly affect page views to the website and the toons are free in the first place. This game, on the other hand, will not be: the point of buying and playing the game is to find the dialogue yourself. And I don't want Telltale's lawyers to hit this wiki with a cease-and-desist order if they feel our actions harm the sales of their game. :::The way that the [[SBCG4AP Dev Blog]] is being handled now (summarizing posts, pointing out specific references) is perfectly fine.  At the time I wrote that bit, there wasn't a page started to note the contents.  I think a similar approach should be used with the games, simply because of the volume of dialog involved, the non-linear nature of the game play, and potential legal issues. Particular pieces (such as openings, previews or set pieces) could be transcribed, proved proper clearances are granted first, but a wholesale transcription would be impractical. Ok, thanks to the preview on the telltale official site, I think we can theorise that the IGN preview actually happens after the scenes in the trailer. 'Homestar Runner invades Strong Bad's house and Bogarts his style.' Of course, it could also be that the trailer scenes are actually a flashback.

:I was thinking the same thing.  The preview for [[Homestar Ruiner]] seems to take place before Homestar hides in the basement for indecency.  From the various reviews, though, it is clear that the preview was still an early build.  (For example, the GameCyte review mentions that a plot clue is found under a cardboard box in the middle of the field, but the actual game, the clue location would be more challenging.)  I would suspect that Strong Bad going directly from his song to talking to Homestar is a similar splice, and nobody knows what the final sequence will be until it's released in to the wild. {{User:Wbwolf/sig}} 14:13, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Ok we were all surprised it got a t ranking but i bet they TellTale did so on purpose and made the esrb think it was worse than it really was for the moneymaking t rating.  and mild suggestive content (if it is not a telltale tall tale) is probably something like saying home run or some other extremely mild euphism. Traditionally, when The Brothers Chaps have done an interview, we've made a separate page for it, in part because they were so infrequent.  But, so far there has been at least four interviews with them ahead of the launch of the game. Just a note regarding the amount of voice acting and the claim that Matt and Missy do "most of" it.  The most recent time this was added to the article, the editor cited a Gamespot interview.  I think the confusion may arise because when asked "How much of the original voices to you have?", Telltale representative Brett Tosti replies that "95% of it is done by Matt Chapman".  ''But'' he immediately goes on to say the other 5% is Marzipan (which he confirms is voiced by Missy).  In fact, he's pretty emphatic that all of the voices are done by the original H*R talent.  They work this fact into the interview twice &mdash; they are obviously proud of it.  Anonymous, were you refering to a Gamespot interview other than the one with Brett Tosti?

As I noted on the [[Strong Badia the Free]] page, the Whale says "Get your lighter from the anvil, please," which can be connected with the fact that you get the lighter from The Cheat (compared with an anvil in [[huttah!]]). As I was playing a new game that didn't have the lighter yet when I saw that, I suddenly started wondering something. And then I look up what the whale says in [[Homestar Ruiner]] and:

You know, I noticed something. On the DVD, the 3-D animation looks silly and a bit premature, and in SBCG4AP, the graphics are smoother and much more dignified. I also noticed that most of the lines that are said during the game don't match the animation. And in the Wii menu when Strong Bad says "Onward to Strong Badia! Strong Badia... THE FREE!" It looks like they just re-used the animation from the first episode when he said "No time for the emails right now. I've got other plans for the Lappy todaaay..."
