Ooer, Kilroy and I both thought to move that Halloween Fun Faqt from the inDEX page to the inTRO page at the same time :) MetaStar 22:12, 25 Sep 2004 (MST)

I know, isn't that amazing?  :D --Kilroy 22:12, 25 Sep 2004 (MST)

What is it that Homestar says at the end of this? It sounds like 'Everybody! Follow your leader! Everybody! Laddy da leda!"

It's just "lah dee dah dee dah". --Upsilon
I always thought it was "I be the leader!" since he's the star, but now that you mention it it it does sound like it's just singing. Of course, I don't see why Homestar would call himself a "leader." --Úħ¡ βøв 08:17, 22 Mar 2005 (MST)

Why does Homestar say "la dee dah de dah"? Why doesn't he just say "Everybody, Everybody" like how the song actually is?

I believe he says, "Everybody, Matt is our leader. Everybody, Matt is our leader," i.e., Matt Chapman is making his character refer to himself.

I always thought it was "Everybody! Everybo-dee-dah!" 68.107.96.136 00:45, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

I really don't think so, Homestar clearly says "la dee la dee dah", atleast that is in my opinion... That's pretty much what it sounds like.. i guess. Homestramy20|Talk 23:01, 2 Sep 2005 (UTC)

I read on Wikipedia that if you play the intro song backwards, you hear the kids singing "Viva Satan". Weird, huh? I tried it out myself, it's creepy. Yeah. Homfrog 17:19, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

Homfrog, could you give me the link to hear the intro backwards? Because it's hard to think that it says what it says backwards.---Ava

It's here! There ya go. (Be's careful, it's a YTMND page)(but it'll work.) --Homfrog 11:34, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

The last word has always sounded like "doh" to me, not another "dah".--24.255.185.53 19:09, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

I know this is probably a coincidence...

Has anyone heard the song "That's Good" by Devo (from the 1982 album Oh, No! It's Devo)? 'Cause the "Everybody, everybody" of the Intro theme has the same rhythm as the lines "Everybody, it's a good thing" from the song I refer to. I know it's nothing truly notable, but I couldn't help but think of Homestar when I first heard the Devo song. Just a random comment.

  • Now that I think about it, yeah. I think Homestar is more Devo than Strong Sad is.

Subliminal message

If you play the song backwards, it sounds like the kids are saying " We love satan, we love satan!"

thats true!

Possible reference to Super Dave Osbourne

I just came to realize that the lights in this intro may be a reference to the Super Dave Osbourne show from 1987-1993. As I recall (can't find a clip to verify) the wall lit up to spell out SUPER DAVE prior to it being lifted and Super Dave walking on stage. --74.224.8.207 03:58, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
