Better name?

Judging by previous names for SB's Papers, shouldn't we call it Newer Paper, or New New Paper? USER:Sbemail Checker Dan

First of all, be aware that this character has no official name. When something like this happens, we usually pick a name that describes the character in such a way that everyone that reads it thinks "Ohhhh, THAT character!" A good example is Visor Robot, which we called because it was a robot with a visor. "New Paper" is called "New Paper" because that's what Strong Bad called it in the paper. Someone chose the name "Letter Paper" for this one because it looks like a letter. If we called it "Newer Paper" or "New New Paper", there's a risk of confusion with New Paper (and if Strong Bad goes through several papers over the coming weeks, things would get a bit silly: New New New New Paper anyone?). I say stick with Letter Paper for now until an official name is given (although it should really be called envelope paper...). – The Chort 14:46, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
OH! I get it. USER:Sbemail Checker Dan
Yeah, i was actually thinking it's an interdepartmental envelope, not a letter. Also, when i first saw this page title, or indeed, when i'd see a page titled "Envelope Paper" i'd think it was about the kind of paper used to make letters or envelopes. I can't really think of any way to fix that though. — Defender1031*Talk 14:52, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
It isn't even really a paper. It's just an envelope with "Click HERE to email strong bad" written on it. But I have a feeling we're going to keep the word "paper" in the name one way or the other. free 14:55, 13 July 2009 (UTC) (This was written before the move)
How about Inter-Department Envelope. I know we're reaching for a name with "Paper" in it, but this is only paper in the sense that envelopes are typically made of paper. It doesn't fit the narrower definition of paper. — It's dot com 15:35, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Jumping the gun

Aren't we jumping the gun a bit on this? We can't be sure that this is the real replacement for the New Paper, since this could (and I think it's somewhat implied that it is, since he's borrowing his work computer rather than getting a new one) just be a transition e-mail between the Lappy and whatever comes next, and thus this would just be a one-off thing to fit with the work computer theme. --ComputerBox 15:59, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

We can always change it if it isn't. We just have to assume. free 16:07, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Keep?

I'm with ComputerBox; not only is it far too soon to assume this is a replacement, but do we have articles on Supra Modern Telegram Paper or Constitutional Paper (those are piped links before someone says something clever) or anything like that? So what's special about this one other than some Paper or another getting burnt in the previous email? It's also not a proper pseudocharacter, at least not as much as the real Papers are: no one regards it as an actual character. --Jay (Talk) 17:41, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
