:Opening this old wound again... I say '''keep'''. It's an item, shown twice, specifically referenced by a main character, and it's not ''part'' of the outfit, in [[pizzazz]] it's the ''whole'' outfit (if you don't think of a pipe being an item of clothing. Although later in the sbemail Strong Bad wears the hat without holding the pipe). {{User:Elcool/sig}} 12:46, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

A hat

Umm...it's a hat. Why do we need this? --Technochocolate 06:55, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I think it is kinda pointless, but after all, there is pretty much unlimited space on the wiki, so i think we might as well keep it. I dunno. It seems cool.--Bubsty
There isn't unlimited space. Remember all those 509s? Choco 14:18, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
Sorry, I said that when I was stupid. — talk Bubsty edits 05:54, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

Skip

The captain's hat looks like a white version of Skipper's from Gilligan's island.Elvis 01:07, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

Bowler

Sorry to bring this up again, but I think if Homsar's Bowler Hat doesn't get an article, then (or than, IDK) this article should not be. Theycallmefree 18:57, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

Third time's a charm

To bring this up once again, doesn't this article technically not follow inclusion guidelines? It's only appeared twice and I thought items typically needed to be included at least three times and/or be used in an odd fashion. And since he just wears it and nothing is really all that special about it, I say delete. - Catjaz63 15:43, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

That rule is for running gags. An item can have a page if it's just there. So, considering we have a page for the Wetski, The Strongs' Capsela, and BUBRUB!, this page deserves to be kept. I mean, read the Items page and look at how many obscure items there are listed! Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 16:21, 25 July 2016 (UTC)
Agree, keep. -209.6.137.13 13:35, 29 July 2016 (UTC)

Let's Review

1. Running gag? Nope, just two examples.

2. Generic item/event? Nope, not five examples.

3. H*R-specific item? This one is the key, I think. Only needs one appearance, but important. Is this important? It's mentioned specifically, but this one is up for debate. Then it says any item that is part of an outfit does not merit a page. With all that, I say no.

4. Relating to a character? Not relating to a different variation of Strong Bad, so no.

5. Other page? This could theoretically be a yes, as it's not in the main page, though the Captain Strong Bad character is.

6. Inclusion? Certainly could be included elsewhere.

7. Inappropriate? No.

In total, I vote to abolish the page, though I did enjoy reading it. Template:user-anon
