Outside of Homestar Runner, Ryan designed the website for [http://www.bottlerocketbrewing.com Bottle Rocket Brewing]. Ryan also [https://web.archive.org/web/20050524125711/http://www.fecalface.com/blogs/so_hot_right_now/archives/2005/05/a_conversation.html worked alongside] David Barnes to make the music video for "So Begins Our Alabee" by {{wp|of Montreal}}. The video won the Audience Choice Award at the 2005 Sprockets Music Video Competition. Ryan also made a music video for {{w|Maritime (band)|Maritime's}} song "Tearing Up the Oxygen".  This video made it to the top five choices at the 2006 Sprockets Music Video Competition.
