Namco was a popular video game company. Founded in 1955, Namco found success in the 70s and 80s publishing and developing arcade games like Pac-Man, Dig Dug, and Galaxian; Namco's fortunes struggled at the turn of the century, and the company was effectively dissolved into Bandai Namco Entertainment in 2006.
