::I know this is old, but according to [[HRWiki:Upgrade to MediaWiki 1.8|this]], You ''can'' use a + in page titles. {{User:MichaelXX2/sig}} 16:02, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

:::Yup. Since 1.8 (about two years ago; a year after this was written). — [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 19:30, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Okay, how come [[sb_email_22]] gets its underscores to show up as underscores—even when it wants one to be a space—and [[strongbad_email.exe]] shows it as a space when it wants it to be an underscore? —[[User:AbdiViklas|AbdiViklas]] 16:31, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

:Both titles have the same problem, underscores can't exist in the title either. They can appear in the specific link if your display is set up right, but the title of the article won't display the underscore. {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}} 16:34, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

::Abdi: You mean the difference between [[sb_email_22]] and [[sb email 22]]/[[strongbad_email.exe]] and [[strongbad email.exe]]? The articles themselves just have spaces in the titles, but when linking to them, the underscores will show up if they are used in lieu of a space. -- [[User:Tom|Tom]] 16:36, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

:::Sorry, I was looking at the url in one case and the title in another! —[[User:AbdiViklas|AbdiViklas]] 17:15, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

::::Just thought you might want to know, I changed the display titles using the <nowiki>{{DISPLAYTITLE:correct_title}}</nowiki> thing. I hope that's okay, and are there any other pages that can be changed like that? Unfortunately the category links will probably still have the wrong titles. :::::Ah, good find! Looking into [[MW:Manual:$wgAllowDisplayTitle|this feature]], turns out it's been available since 1.7 (but was disabled by default). With the upgrade to 1.11, it was enabled by default. — [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 03:49, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

HTML stuff like em dahses and middots will appear in a page title. However, I'm not sure if all of them will...— {{User: Seriously/sig}} 17:51, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

:I'm pretty sure they will. The list on the project page is considered to be an exhaustive list. — [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 17:55, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

-
::Where is this project page? I've been doing something at the fanstuff wiki that's essentially a list of all of these, so it would be a huge help. — {{User: Seriously/sig}} 18:03, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

:::Look at the tabs at the top of the page... What do you see? — [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 18:19, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
