:Loaf, if ever that happens again, just edit the whole page and click save page without changing anything. That will cause the system to reevaluate the links. 12:33, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

The glitch can be traced to having a link in the edit summary for the link(s) and edit in question. Fixing it is low priority right now since it's a relatively rare occurrence, but it's on the to-do list. By the way, the system reevaluates the links when the page is purged as well. — It's dot com 13:51, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Seeing as you only have two options with MediaWiki by default, either totally case-sensitive or just have every single title capitalized, have you ever considered releasing this as an extension, It's Dot Com? --69.150.85.66 18:26, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Autopi?
Out of curiosity, how many digits of pi do you have set up in the autopipe? Or does it rely on a computer generated number from a PHP math function or something? 22:39, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

-
:As many as will fit in a valid MediaWiki title. BTW, since it's mostly a joke, I didn't try to be super fancy and have it correctly round; it only works if you truncate the number. — It's dot com 16:54, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

::So up to 255 digits of pi, eh? That's insane! It's pretty funny seeing that <small style="color:gray;">(Redirected from)</small> statement go off-screen. 02:42, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

It seems that autopipe isn't autopiping any form of chickens to our recent article on chicken. 00:41, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

-
:Because it doesn't work like that. It takes singulars and looks for plurals, not the other way around. If you want to link to chickens easily, do it like I just did. &mdash; It's dot com 01:12, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Red link with diffs
A recent turns an autopiped link (Bikini) into a red link. However, it still correctly links to Bikinis. I assume this isn't a bug caused by our recent server move. 04:03, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

-
:No, i've seen that a couple times before. as of the writing of this talk post, that is the most recent edit to the page, and on the page right now, the blue link appears like it's supposed to. So no, it's not a new server error. 04:21, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

::Well, like I said, this is only appearing when viewing diffs it seems.

-
:::did you say that? i thought I said it. it looks like neither one of us stated it explicitly though, so i guess i'll let it slide. 04:39, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

::::This is a known issue caused by having an identical link in the edit summary. We've had the problem before, only the red and blue links were reversed compared to now. &mdash; It's dot com 04:45, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Autopiping to a deleted page
-

-
A user recently wrote a link to a deleted page. The link, "my dot com", would logically autoredirect to "My Dot Com" if this page existed. Since "My Dot Com" has been deleted, it has the deleted page warning if you try to re-create the page. I noticed that clicking the "my dot com" red link didn't give such a warning, and I had to dig in the deletion log to determine which version had been deleted before. Is this a quirk that could be dealt with? 01:58, 18 May 2019 (UTC)

::I suppose it could. I'll look into it the next time I dig into that function. &mdash; It's dot com 03:42, 18 May 2019 (UTC)

Issues with links to current page
This may not be an easy issue to fix (or if it should be fixed in the first place), but I wanted to at least document it here:  We've found that when a page links to itself using autoredirect (and it's supposed to disable and bold the link) the wiki engine does not detect this and keeps the link normal.  This was seen in the templates Strong Bad Sings and Other Type Hits and Limozeen when linking to the pages for Moving Very Slowly (video) () and Nite Mamas (karaoke) () in the former template, and NITE MAMAS () in the latter. --Stux 16:55, 19 May 2019 (UTC)
