The hip hop group the Beastie Boys has been referenced throughout the Homestar Runner body of work. This is possibly a result of them showing footage of Everybody to the Limit at one of their concerts; in addition, their album Paul's Boutique has been in Mike Chapman's top five.

- Email technology — Strong Bad's claim to be "kicking [his] new Tech-Kuh-Nowledge" is a reference to the song "The Sounds of Science", on the band's album, Paul's Boutique.
