To be bubs'd?

Is this a copy/paste from another article or something? --Jay (Gobble) 17:57, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

I know it doesn't take long for the community to throw the link to the Flash file at the bottom of an article, but if the first person to come across a new update wants to view the Flash file but doesn't know how to find the filename, this might be good information to have somewhere. So, yeah, is it documented somewhere else? OptimisticFool 18:03, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Focusing on the merits of the article, this completely inappropriate for the main space, so it should be deleted. Regarding the information in the article, perhaps a brief note in HRW:ST would be useful. Most of the time, the name of the *.html file is the same as the *.swf file, but there has been occasional mismatches. wbwolf (t | ed) 18:16, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Why would you care whether this page is alone or not?--TCKOTB 21:50, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Huh? OptimisticFool 22:19, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
This is definitely not HRWiki material. It basically tells people how to make an .html link to an H*R.com .swf file if I read correctly. DevonM(talk·cont-ribs) 22:23, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Ooh. I read wrong. It tells you how to get to the .swf of a H*R toon. A. We already have those links on the wiki, and B.Again, this isn't HRWiki material. DELETE. DevonM(talk·cont-ribs) 22:24, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Let there be no mistake, the information on this page is useful. It's just not so well-placed. When a newbie comes around and says, "How do I find the Flash file to put it in an article?" it would be nice to point them somewhere to help them learn how to do it. So, HRW:ST is one suggestion and that could work. I know so little about the "HRWiki:" articles, is that the best place? OptimisticFool 22:30, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Or it could go in the Help namespace. After being severely reformatted. — It's dot com 22:34, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Okay, move the page to where you want... Just don't change too much. Anyways, please don't delete it, but could you move it? To some sub-section of the site maybe? Okay... Please respond/tell me where the page will go.--The Coolest Kid On The Block 21:44, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Move to Flash File

I think we should move this to "Flash File" or something similar. It would be easier for people to find this page. I had so much trouble finding a page on flash files, it's not funny. Plus, moving it to "Flash File" would allow us to add more content that would make this keepable. Your opinions? The man with no plan- DrPepper42 23:21, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

It needs a rename and a re-namespace, if it's staying. -- Mithent 23:31, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Seriously, we need to rename, then add info. I gotta leave now. The man with no plan- DrPepper42 02:46, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
We already have the article Flash. If anything moved or merged around in the mainspace, it should be there. Now, it could also go to the Help namespace as mentioned. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 11:30, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
The idea to merge with Flash might be interesting, with a pointer from HRW:ST and/or one of the other Help: hierarchy articles. This is a closely related topic (since the instructions are basically how to find the name of the Flash file), and could fit in nicely with the existing article. wbwolf (t | ed) 20:26, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Redirect to with homestarrunner.com#Filename Conventions

I was poking around, looking for a good place to merge this info, when I came across homestarrunner.com#Filename Conventions, which basically covers the same information. So, I propose we redirect this article there (I already added a bit of info from that section, so I think that all the basic information from this article is covered there now.

I agree with above comments that this type of info should, in principle, be in the Help namespace, but since there's really not much to say, I think this is an appropriate solution. Trey56 16:20, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
