Karate Car title...

After looking at the unsigned post at the Talk:the_movies#Karate_Car where it says the following:

I would think that, given the computer medium, its appearance and the name, it would more likely be a reference to Karateka, if, in fact, it is a reference at all.

And looking at the end where Mr. Slashy-Man is doing some some martial arts moves with the indication of the kicking and the "Hi-YA!" I do believe an explination is in order, so I shall provide one. In the world of martial arts, a karateka is a expert in Karate as mention here. In Japan, there are three ways of saying "Car" - "yonrinsha" (よんりんしゃ or 四輪車), "kuruma" (くるま or 車), or simply "ka" (カー). So from what I see, I'm not sure what the right word is it but it appears as though the Brothers Chaps seperated "Karate" and "Ka" and turned it into "Karate Car." Not gonna edit the main article yet though cause I'm just going on a hunch as to what that unsigned poster had mentioned. - Ren Foxx 05:25, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Merge?

Let's get to tha point. Should we merge this with ASCII? It's kind of sort for it to have its own article, I think. – The Chort 16:53, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

Since there is a similar discussion over at Talk:e-marlin and it seems unanimous that that should be converted to a redirect to ASCII art, perhaps we should do the same here. — ^Sam_{Fisher (Come in, Lambert.)} 17:48, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

On second thought, most of the articles in Category:Movies are this short and have made only one appearance, i.e., are just like this article. If we get rid of this, the rest of those articles would have to be treated similarly. — ^Sam_{Fisher (Come in, Lambert.)} 17:59, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

They are both relevant. One is referring to the particular movie while the other, the reoccurring theme of ASCII art. So I say, no merge. »Bleed0range« 09:06, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
