The Big Lebowski is a 1998 comedy film written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen starring Jeff Bridges and John Goodman. The movie is widely considered to be a cult classic for its originality and direction, its eccentric characters, and its convoluted plot that centers around The Dude's earnest quest to replace his soiled living room rug. The Brothers Chaps sometimes slip references to this movie in Homestar Runner cartoons.

- Main Page 4 - The 4-pointed stars on the back wall are similar to the stars seen in The Dude's bowling alley in The Big Lebowski.
- Halloween Potion-ma-jig - Pom Pom dresses up as Walter Sobchak, a character from the movie who is a Vietnam veteran. The toon also references other things in the movie such as the severed toe, lines such as "You're entering a world of pain" and "DONNY, YOU'RE OUT OF YOUR ELEMENT!", which were repeated sayings of Sobchak, and a moment where Pom Pom inappropriately draws a gun.
- Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 13.2 - Strong Bad says "Am I wrong? Somebody, am I wrong?", which was a line said by Sobchak in the movie.
- Email cliffhangers - Strong Bad refers to the Lappy's bloody, severed comma key as a "little toe."
