Subtitles

Hey Shwoo, you're really working hard on them subtitles! Keep up the good work :-) Loafing 10:32, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks! Shwoo 10:46, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

Frappr!

Hey Shwoo (it's me again!), have you heard about the wiki's Frappr! map? I'd be cool to see some more Southern hemisphere pins on there ;-) Loafing 10:41, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I actually put a pin it about half an hour ago. So now there's a whole eight pins in the Southern hemisphere. That's more than my last internet community type thing, actually. Shwoo 02:19, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Another mystery solved. Kinda ;-) Loafing 08:50, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

You sure it doesn't raise more questions than it answers? Shwoo 10:35, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
The usual side-effects of solved mysteries ;-) Loafing 11:36, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Re: I would like to know how you calculated it. Did you include Easter eggs? Commentaries? That one is a really good fact and I know that I've been trying find the answer for that for a long time. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 09:20, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Actually, I was just lazy and added up all the times given on the wiki. That did take a while though. Shwoo 09:28, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
That is important to know, as the time list doesn't include Easter eggs. I'm adding it to your fact, and it also gave me an idea. Thanks! Elcool (talk)(contribs) 09:33, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
I didn't know the times don't include Easter eggs, so thanks for telling me.Shwoo 09:43, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
Well, the idea you gave me was to add a new column for Easter egg times. What fun! Elcool (talk)(contribs) 09:47, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Asperger's

Hey, my brother has Asperger's Syndrome too! We know all about it and more and he's in high school and all sorts of good stuff. It's cool to find another person like him here on the wiki! He doesn't have an account, though. Probably wouldn't use it much even if he did... -Brightstar Shiner 01:50, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

Cool. Wiki...ing is very appealing to aspies, I think. Because of the repetitive tasks and the catalouging absolutely everything to do with a certain subject. But I don't know many people with Asperger's Syndrome other than myself, so I'm not sure about that. Shwoo 02:06, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

Timings

Hey, re: this summary, I recall it's been noted that a lot of toons were timed simply with a stopwatch, while others had their times calculated from the frame count. We've agreed someplace (I forget which) that the most accurate means of calculating length of toons is to subtract the number of "loading" frames and any "skipped" frames which can only be watched through user interaction (eggs) from the frame total (adjusting as necessary when there are superfluous trailing frames at the end which do not contribute to the toon, for example), and then dividing that result by the frame rate to determine the time. So, some of these times might not follow the up-to-date timing calculations; they might include the eggs, or the Loading screen, or might have been inaccurately clocked. It's likely you'll encounter wrong timings. I'd suggest just being sure the timing you use is supported by the above "frame count" method, and when you prove a timing wrong be sure to change the page's mention of the timing as well. You've taken on a huge job, good luck with it and thanks! Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 10:14, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

Oh, okay. Thanks. I've been using the frame counting method to calculate the running time, by the way. There's twelve frames to a second, right? Shwoo 10:21, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
Usually. TGS 10 is faster, when it is that'll normally be visually obvious. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 10:23, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
