Date format?

I don't see any "Date Format" preferences in my Preferences. Is that help item outdated? --oddtodd 22:46, 17 Nov 2004 (MST)

Yeah, it looks like these instructions are for a different version of MediaWiki. I'm pretty sure they are for the last stable release, version 1.3.7. We are using version 1.3.0beta4. -- Tom 10:28, 18 Nov 2004 (MST)
However old it is, after looking at this document at Wikipedia, I can tell that it hasn't been updated since our last upgrade. Any objections to me updating it to match the one there? — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 04:44, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

Color Signature

Right now I am trying to make my signature a corn flower blue color with the text looking something like this: ~Rebecca~ RJMT Right now in the signature box of my preferences I have entered: span style='color:#6495ed;" before ~Rebecca~ RJMT and /span after it but only ~Rebecca~ RJMT without the color, shows up. What did I do wrong??? --~Rebecca~ RJMT 17:34, 1 Aug 2005 (UTC)

I think the problem is caused by the ' at the beginning. I think it's meant to be a ". --videlectrix.pngENUSY discussionitem_icon.gif user.gifmail_icon.gif, 18:46, 1 August 2005 (BST)
Thanks!!! --~Rebecca~ Username: RJMT | Talk 21:22, 1 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Problem with Colors

Ok, I got most of the color working, but now i have another problem. Right now my nickname looks like this: ~Rebecca~ Username: RJMT | Contributions but I'm trying to turn the link that says contributions blue. I have: span style="color:#0000cd;" in front of the link. --~Rebecca~ Username: RJMT | Contributions 21:54, 1 Aug 2005 (UTC)

You cannot edit the color of links that way. The color must be placed INSIDE The link. Anyway, that is the wrong sort of Contributions page. Try Special:Contributions/RJMT. --Jay (Talk) 21:59, 1 Aug 2005 (UTC)

MySkin?

What is this "MySkin" and how do I customize it? --Strong Rad 23:04, 15 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Select "MySkin" as described in the article, then customize User:Strong Rad/MySkin.css to your liking. You can also customize User:Strong Rad/monobook.css in the same way. -- Tom 23:37, 15 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Thanks. I'll customize it to look like my website (which has a WEIRD stylesheet). --Strong Rad 02:51, 21 Aug 2005 (UTC)
