Welcome Back!

Hi, Thunderbird. I know you've been back for a little while already, but I wanted to at least drop a quick 'hello' your way. So how was hiking the West Coast trail? I'll admit I'm a bit curiuos about how that went. Oh, and I hope I took good care of one of your pet pages while you were out. Cheers. —THE PAPER PREEEOW 23:52, 13 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Well thanks for showing some interest! It was really quite fun. Unfortunitly, my camera didn't work, so I just shared my friend's camera the whole time. He's gonna give me a CD soon, and when he does I'll write up a summary, (it was QUITE the adventure) and add a few pics. And thanks for looking after the ol' page for me, did you remember to change it's food and water? Thunderbird 02:17, 14 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Sysop

That's very kind of you Thunderbird. Maybe someday... we'll see. Speaking of, we have some trolls running rampant that need to be blocked... — It's dot com 01:21, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)

{{what It's dot com said.}}. Please go to HRWiki:WikiTroll. We've got it all laid out for someone to take a look at. —BazookaJoe 01:22, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Hey, thanks! But, I'm not 100% sure about this, I don't think blocking "User:User:Lenofan19" is going to work. You should block "User:Lenofan19" just in case. Thanks again! —BazookaJoe 01:31, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Whups, my bad. I wasn't sure if you type in 'User:XXX' or just 'XXX' in the case of usernames, so I did them both for the two usernames I blocked. And I wasn't totally sure how long to block each of them, but I gave them all at least three or four days. (Willy On Wheels and the other repeat offender both got over a month). Let me know what the standards are, I gotta admit I rarely do any blocking of trolls. I'm more of an editing guy. I'm not sure if you guys can or not, but if you can, check Special:Ipblocklist to see my work. And here's hoping the admin nomins open up soon, I'm sure you two are shoe-ins. Thunderbird 01:36, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)
While we're cleaning up, there's a template that was moved, and now the old page needs to be deleted. See: {{talkpagedelete}}. Thanks. — It's dot com 02:24, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Done and done. Thunderbird 02:37, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Thanks one million, talk to you later. — It's dot com
Just for future reference, Thunda, any thing related to Willy should get an indefinite ban, as well as any user with an obvious trolling username. To block indefinitly, just type (get this) "indefinite" into the time box. w00t.
Oh, and go Joe and Dot Com. You guys rule the school. —FireBird|Talk 03:11, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Okay. But don't IP addresses get passed around somewhat? In which case, can't the IP address eventually be passed on to an innocent user? I could be wrong, I don't know much about codes and stuff. Thanks. Thunderbird 03:15, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)
I'm not actually too sure myself. In any case, a user can always contact admin@hrwiki.org or one of us if they've been mistakenly blocked. —FireBird|Talk 03:19, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Mmmm, true. Definently warranting further investigation... Thanks for the help Fire. Thunderbird 03:24, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Any time. :) —FireBird|Talk 03:25, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)

More blocks, please

Hey there, my favorite Thundabird! Could you please block 71.243.157.90 for 24 to 48 hours? That's all I need to be truly happy. :D Thank you. —BazookaJoe 18:44, 25 Aug 2005 (UTC)

I gave you 49 hrs. If you ever need blocking and I'm around, don't hesitate to ask! (At least, until you get that power yourself). Thunderbird 18:45, 25 Aug 2005 (UTC)
I'm truly happy! —BazookaJoe 18:46, 25 Aug 2005 (UTC)
"...blocked "User:71.243.157.90" with an expiry time of 49 hours: Because Bazooka Joe said so." Not bad, not bad, Joe. ;) — It's dot com 18:47, 25 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Heh heh, I was wondering if anyone would notice that. ;) Thunderbird 18:48, 25 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Looks like there's some offensive pages that need to be Del Taco'd, as well (and some regular ones, but the offensive ones for sure). — It's dot com 18:49, 25 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Spammer

Hey TBird. Please block 60.176.129.241 forever. Thanks. — It's dot com 04:07, 31 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Done and done. I hit it with an indefinite. Hey, what time zone are you in? It seems that you and me are usually the only folks up at this time, since it's past midnight on the east coast. Thunderbird 04:13, 31 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Central, aka UTC -5 during daylight time. Joe's here too. Joe's always here. ;) — It's dot com 04:18, 31 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Well thanks guys. Glad I could help with that spamming problem. That IP sure was a busy one. I'll be around for another 15 minutes or so, working on a project, if you guys need any more blockings. (And I'm PST, -7 I think. It's 9:20 right now. And we have Daylight savings time on) Thunderbird 04:23, 31 Aug 2005 (UTC)

WTC?!

Mister, Thunderbird, sir, I was just now looking at your comment here and I can say that I have no idea what you're talking about. What did you try to write? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 19:37, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Haha, I can't remember the exact words I tried to translate. Can you make out any individual words? I belive it was something to the effect of 'Greetings. Talk Empty. Can You Understand?', or something like that. If you can at least read some of the words, (They weren't in any means grammatical), I could probably remember the rest of it and translate for you. The main theme though, was that the discussion page was empty, so I figured I'd fill it up. But I wasn't sure if it was understandable or not. Just out of curiosity, what exactly was I replying to on that page? All I could make out was 'peasants'. Thunderbird 20:10, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Ha.. To translate it literally: "Talk look in thin. So; That is... Therefore greeting forgive (To forgive)... Punctuation." (Whatever that means..) Anyway, you were replying to a my question how to translate peasents corrctly. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 20:20, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Well there you go then. What I MEANT to say was:

Talk Page Looks Small. So... Hello. Please Forgive My Grammer.

I knew I had no chance translating the grammar even close, so I just tried simple words. I think it was at least somewhat understandable to get the theme of what I was saying. Oh well, gotta brush up on my Hebrew then I guess... :) Thunderbird 20:26, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)
In that case, it should be: דף השיחה נראה קטן. אז... שלום. בבקשה סלח לי על הדקדוק שלי. (If you like to read it, it goes like this: Daf hasikha nir'a katan. Az... Shalom. Bevakasha slakh ly al hadikduk shely). The fact that you realy tried to expres yourself in an unfamiliar language is realy overwhelming. Just.. Wow. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:38, 3 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Weird Dream Fun Fact

Hey, thanks for asking. I actually heard them say it when they did an appearence at the University of Central Florida in Spring 2004. Someone in the audience asked if they were inspired by things in real life, and that was one of the answers. Since at the time, I didn't know of a resource like this wiki, I never wrote down their answers so I could offer a more specific statement from them, but it's one of a few nifty tidbits that I've tried to include on the wiki so they don't fall into obscurity.
