Standardizing Pages
Though most of the pages from the old wiki have been moved here, many of them haven't been brought up to our new level of standardization, which can be found on the HRWiki:Standards page. Below are standardization projects that are still in need of special attention.
Filmography Categories
All of the main characters now have a Filmography Category. To add a toon to a character's filmography, you put a category link at the bottom of the toon's page, e.g. if Strong Bad is in Toon X, then on the Toon X page you put this at the bottom: [[Category:Strong Bad Filmography]]. That will make Toon X appear on the Strong Bad Filmography category page. The "Project" here is that many of the Toons currently don't have complete filmography links.
Cast (in order of appearance)
We'd like to standardize the way appearing characters are listed on toon pages. Many of them currently say "Featuring:" followed by a list of characters that appear in that toon. Instead, this should say something like this:
Cast (in order of appearance): Strong Bad, The Cheat
Notice that only the left part (up to and including the colon) is bold and the character names are not. And, of course, the characters should be in the order in which they appear in the toon. This is a project that may be most convenient if done in concert with the Filmography Categories project.
All the Strong Bad Emails are done, along with Toons from Full-length to Puppet Stuff. Not sure about the rest.
Thumbnails
When we first installed MediaWiki we did not have the ability to create thumbnails. Thumbnails are now enabled, and we need to comb the entire wiki changing full-sized images to thumbnails. Note: external images can't be thumbnailed, so we'll have to upload all the images to our server from now on.

Wiki Cleanup
These are ongoing projects that will probably never reach a "completed" stage. Since content is always being added to the Homestar Runner site and new wiki pages are always being created, we will always be cleaning up our wiki. If you consider yourself a WikiGnome, these are the projects for you.
Dead End Pages, Orphaned Pages, etc.
There are a number of pages on the "Special Pages" list that are useful tools to keep the Wiki in tip-top condition.
- Orphans: Pages that are not linked to by any other page (note: ideally, disambig pages should be orphaned)
- Dead End Pages: Pages that do not link to any other page
- Wanted Pages: Requested pages that do not exist yet
Before creating a new page, check that a suitable page does not already exist.
Merge and Redirect
Sometimes multiple pages are created for the same thing. If you find multiple pages that need merging, list them here or perform the cleanup yourself.
To cleanup this situation one will:
- Determine which page is the most suitable
- Move and integrate important information from the redundant pages to the proper page
- Use the What links here feature to list all the references to the redundant pages
- Fix all the found links to the appropriate page
- Turn the redundant pages into Redirects or add them to Category: To be deleted
