I suppose it's important to note that anything here must meet all requirements for a running gag except there will only be two instances. I see this as a means of better being able to remember and catalog the likeliest future candidates. This should NOT be a free-for-all, however; spurious suggestions should not be listed. "Lettuce" is an example of something which isn't really likely to be a running gag - it's far too commonplace a thing. "Bit-O-Honey" would be, if you could find 2. And so on.
