Chapman the Younger
Fan of a man indeed!

Matt Chapman (born November 1, 1976), the younger of The Brothers Chaps, is the voice actor for all of the characters on Homestar Runner (except for Marzipan and her counterparts, played by Missy Palmer, the voices in The Cheat's cartoons, done by Mike Chapman, and Teeg Dougland, also done by Mike.) Although a famously native "Atlantian", he is a born Hoosier, as admitted in the Club Aquatica interview.

General Information

Matt used to work for Earthlink, an Internet company. [1] He also did voices for "Preschool Protocops" and some voices for webtoons and radio commercials for Mellow Mushroom. [2]

The first day Matt quit his job (as the sales of Homestar Runner merchandise were so high) he got jury duty. "It sucked. My first day of self-employment and I got put on a jury," he said. [3]

His favorite foods include Egg salad sandwiches (with bits of bacon)[4], poutine[5], and Onion Straws, which he describes as "Dismantled Awesome Blossoms." [6].

When they were toddlers, Mike fed Matt cupcakes with toothpaste in them. [7]. Matt retaliated by feeding Mike vinegar toast.

The Brothers Chaps' friend, David Green, made a movie called All The Real Girls. Matt ended up being in it, but has no speaking part. He's in the background at one point, just sitting on a couch. In the credits, he's listed as Strong Bad. Mike, Craig Zobel and Missy were also involved in the movie. He has a Bacon Number of 2. He has also composed music for "Sealab 2021".

Matt's top 5 favorite records of all time (in no particular order) are:

  • Vince Guaraldi Trio — A Charlie Brown Christmas
  • The Minutemen — Double Nickels on the Dime
  • Neil Young — Rust Never Sleeps
  • De La Soul — De La Soul is Dead
  • Sebadoh — Bubble & Scrape
Mabel

He and his wife Jackie own a cat named Mabel (seen in website) together. Jackie helped write "Tis True, Pom Pom, Tis True" with Matt.

On the Burning Horizon Forum, Matt Chapman posted a little message on the forum's one year anniversary.

Happy anniversary to each and all of ya'lls. You got a great little fansite here. High fives to everybody. Here's a treat from Strong Bad and Coach Z that'll be up for a little while.
